I would not recommend this gym. The studio and the changing rooms are always quite dirty, and the gym itself is always very busy. In addition to that, a lot of the machines are ‘temporarily out of order’, so there’s always some waiting around to do.
The staff is unhelpful and sometimes rude: the gym introduction session felt rushed and it did not help; when I quit the gym I spoke to a guy behind the front desk and he gave some wrong information which cost me one more month of membership, and when I wrote to the manager (Hugo) about it, he simply ignored my email. The class instructors are better. I had very positive experiences with Nolan and Sarah (but she doesn’t teach there anymore) in particular. Another yoga instructor, however, was very rude to me - her name is Lisa. Overall, I would not recommend this gym. There’s other better gyms in Yeovil that are far less expensive and the staff is much friendlier.

My partner and I visited the gym Saturday evening and were welcomed very warmly by the staff on duty.

The gym entrance was very clean and tidy,the changing rooms,pool sauna and steam room were also very clean.
Highly impressed by the staff and facilities.

Amazing staff, I have always felt taken care of.
Equipment is very good. Sometimes machines break down.. good to see they keep old machine and fix them in a generation of replace for new.

I always feel welcome here since day one.
Personal trainers really care for you here too.. I think I got a lot more out of them.

So if you want a proper gym a place to grow and beyond! Join Nuffield!

My friend and I went on a free pass with the intention of joining at the end, I m already a member of Puregym but I wanted a Swimming Pool , Jazcuzzi Sauna ans Steam room as well as another option for my rest days . Loved the Pool Steam room and Sauna and noticed jaczuzzi spa had an out of order notice on it, with a message saying they would notify soon as it was back up and running. After training (Must say the gym side was a little disappointing much like a hotel type gym with old fashioned carpets) Pure Gym is far superior from that point of view, but when we asked at the end the lady at reception said that the spa jacuzzi was never coming back on...so that was the deal breaker for me as thats the bit I really wanted to use, such a shame really as this is a big sell from my point of view, i appreciate with the economy they are probably expensive to run but im sure they could alternate the sauna/steam rooms being on and leave on jacuzzi or charge extra for jacuzzi those that want to use it will pay the extra im sure.

This gym has just gone down further and further since I joined I. February. When I joined it was clean and always noticed cleaners around; you would ne lucky to see one these days. The locker’s are a total nightmare to find one working! Gym equipment is out of order for months on end! The pool is now too cold to get into and so are the showers if you use them when you get out! The staff seem to have lost interest in helping people use equipment they not familiar with and seem to just congregate around the reception or sit in the upstairs room looking into a computer.
The place is filthy and is fast becoming a negative influence as opposed to a positive one!
I want to work out and keep healthy, but it would just be nice if anyone took an interest in what you were doing .
My biggest grime is how filthy it is and when you are on a lunch break from the NHS you spend 5 minutes plus trying to make a locker work!
Please sort this our or else leaving!

I have been member in this gym since March and my experience has been fully positive.
Quality is very good. All the staff is highly qualified, professional and most important is really friendly.. especially Jordan, Meg, Tara, Alex that with me have been every time very nice.

I’ve been a member for 17 years and love going there. I’ve made friends there and usually meet someone I know. The classes are brilliant and the swimming pool keeps me fit. However it was galling to receive an email telling me my membership is going up on the same day a tv advert offered 50% off for new members. So the money I pay will subsidies new members. How about some reward for loyalty?
