Denise and Steve are wonderful hosts, we had a lovely 2 night stay with them. The accommodation is spacious and spotlessly clean with every need catered for including home made cake on arrival. The breakfast is fantastic and plentiful a added bonus is on site parking. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

We were here two weeks ago for two nights (stayed last year too) and everything was excellent, including home made cake on arrival to go with the tea. Breakfast was lovely with everything you could want including a selection of home made preserves. There's private parking at the back, and Whitby centre is just a short walk away. And, the service from Steve and Denise was great. Highly recommended.

Steve & Denise are brilliant hosts, showing interest in your needs whilst not overdoing it. The rooms are lovely and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was so well presented and lovely produce, with eggs from the chickens they keep. You need to be of good mobility if intending to walk from the property into town, but is able to do so its only 10 mins or so to the harbour. A great place to stay, with safe parking at the rear of the house for your car and ideal for exploring the wonders of Whitby.

We stayed last weekend and absolutely loved the character of the accommodation. Very welcoming hosts, nothing too much trouble and the best cooked breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. We would love to come back next year and highly recommend Number 18 for anyone wishing to stay in Whitby 😀 Kathryn and Ian

Steve & Denise are the perfect hosts. Very friendly, offering tips where to eat etc. Serving your every need at breakfast but then stepping back leaving you in peace to enjoy a private chat over a delicious breakfast in the quaint, rustic decor of the breakfast room... We chose this B&B over others as the car parking space on offer in the back garden was important to us. It worked so well just popping in with our luggage. The couple are obviously mindful of the environment keeping packing/waste to a minimum and luxury, natural kinds of bathroom toiletries offered... We will definitely recommend No 18 to any friends/family seeking a quality B&B in Whitby in the future...

Just returned from our second visit, and all i can say is we still highly recommend it. Rooms lovely and clean big and very comfy bed. Yummy cake in the room when you get there. Fantastic breakfast all freshly cooked, and lovely homemade jams. Both Denise and Steve are a fantastic couple nothing is too much. Definitely recommend.

Home from home, lovely friendly welcome and the most beautiful cake. Beautiful breakfast and a really comfortable bed. Shower was fantastic as well. We were worried about road noise but shouldn’t have been because the double glazing worked so well.

What a gem. Great location for walking into the town, or better avoid the town and walk across the Cook monument.||Super friendly hosts, amd nithing too much trouble. Breakfast was perfect and plentiful, the option done so to perfection. Would not hesitate to recommend.
