I had a wonderful stay at Nurses Cottage. Lizzie is a fantastic host - very welcoming, collected me from the station, checked in advance what vegan food I would like. The decor is neutral, it’s super clean, top-notch facilities, use of a lounge and garden with amazing views, delicious breakfasts, biscuits and cherries in my room on arrival, lovely little touches. It’s a pretty walk along the river into Arundel, about 25 mins. Would highly recommend Lizzie’s B&B.

Yet another fantastic stay at Nurses Cottage. Lizzie is the best host and very attentive. Her hospitality makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The rooms are well equipped, spotlessly clean and fresh water, fresh milk, tea/coffee and biscuits are always available. Breakfast is first class! The homemade cake, biscuits and fresh fruit with tea in arrival is a lovely touch.||Thank you Lizzie and we will be back for our annual trip in 2025 (if not sooner).

Stayed here when visiting the Castle for the jousting festival. Definitely the perfect spot to stay when visiting Arundel - a short car journey away from town (or a lovely long walk in the countryside) Wonderful hosts, fantastic service, delicious food, a very comfortable bed and all together an excellent experience! My partner and I will definitely be visiting again in the future.

The best B&B experience of our very long lives. The accommodation was as good as it was possible to be with superb facilities and minute attention to detail. Our hast Lizzy went to extraordinary lengths to ensure our satisfaction and enjoyment of the experience. Should we visit Arundel again we will definitely try to stay at Nurses Cottage.

This was our second visit to this superb b and b. Hostess Lizzie is as solicitous as ever - nothing is too much trouble. Accommodation is spotless and tastefully decorated with high quality fittings. We had free range of the extensive grounds (chickens permitting!) and use of outdoor furniture. The lounge come dining room is a lovely place to spend an evening with a log burner for the cooler months. Breakfasts are varied (hot and cold) and plentiful setting you up for the day. The centre of Arundel is a short drive away with a wide selection of eateries for your evening meal. It is great to see that Nurses Cottage has weathered the COVID storm and is welcoming visitors again. Thank you Lizzie and Paul.

Not the first time we've stayed with Lizzie and Paul, it speaks volumes that we want to return and would recommend to anyone that wants to experience the joy of staying in a perfect B&B. Friendly, personal and with attention to detail, Lizzie really is the perfect host. This time I was recovering from an operation and Lizzie couldn't have done any more for me; hot water bottle for comfort, recovery food for breakfast (including fresh eggs from the chickens)... she's just amazing. Will return.... again and I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you.

Just back from a short break with friends – a chance to meet up and explore the area. We were greeted by Lizzie on arrival and served tea, coffee and homemade cakes in the downstairs lounge.|The B&B is part of the house but is in a light, bright modern extension. It has a separate entrance, hallway and stairs, and a large lounge/conservatory for guests, so you don’t feel you are intruding on the owners’ personal space. Fresh milk and water is kept cold in a mini fridge located in the hallway, so no humming noise in the bedrooms.|The en-suite bedrooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Castle View room and the conservatory have a superb view across the Arun Valley to the Castle and Cathedral opposite.|The location of Nurses Cottage is great but there isn’t a pub within staggering distance. The George at Burpham is the nearest (a 5 minute drive) and there is a good selection of eateries within a 10-20 minute drive. |Each evening we made full use of the lounge, catching up with our friends over a glass of wine in front of the cosy log burner, which Lizzie lit most nights when it became chilly. |Delicious breakfasts were pre-ordered the evening before, from a good selection of tasty options including eggs from their free range chickens. |Lizzie and Paul were perfect hosts and we certainly intend to return!|

Spend two nights here in April 2016. We cycled from Brighton as part of a little tour we were doing, and as soon as we rocked up on our bikes Lizzie and Paul welcomed us (as if by telepathy!) straight away. After being shown around (the Castle View room is stunning, never have I seen a room with more windows, and the sitting / breakfast area is delightful) we were served tea and cake. Lizzie's homemade lemon drizzle and raspberry cake, as well as her flapjacks, were so so so good. The views from the garden and sitting area, as well as the Castle View room, are quite something.

Throughout our stay Lizzie gave us a few lifts, one into Arundel itself and once to the train station. They gave us recommendations of where to eat (both places were excellent) as well which was really appreciated. The cooked breakfast was amazing; as we were doing cycling we both had the full English as well as the muesli, all absolutely delicious.

Honestly, I can't recommend this enough. An amazing B&B. Definitely stay here if you're in the area.
