Just spent a delightful weekend at Oakley Court. Wonderful setting, delicious food and attentive staff. We booked a cabana for lunch at River House which was a huge success and everyone went out of their way to look after us. Also booked self drive boats for a hour on the river which was lovely.
Highly recommend this hotel and only an hour or so from London. Ideal.

We recently held a 3-day training event at Oakley Court, and I genuinely couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. From the moment we arrived to the final goodbye, everything ran seamlessly. The entire team made sure no request was too much — and their support played a huge role in the success of our event.||A huge thank you to Alaa and his team, who truly went above and beyond. Their flexibility, professionalism, and deep expertise shone through at every turn. Alaa not only helped us stay on top of the logistics but also suggested thoughtful improvements that enhanced the overall experience. His knowledge, calm manner, and proactive support made all the difference.||All 33 attendees stayed over at the hotel, and without exception, they were incredibly impressed — not only by the level of service but also by the fantastic food throughout and the comfort of the rooms. Everyone commented on how well they slept and how cared for they felt.||When it came to our team-building events, Alaa and the team pulled out all the stops. They created a warm, welcoming, and energising atmosphere that struck the perfect balance between professional and relaxed.||We had participants travel from across Europe and Hong Kong, and every single person was blown away by the venue and service. From IT support to room layout, every detail was handled with care and precision. Staff were always on hand, incredibly friendly, and quietly efficient in keeping everything running smoothly.||The variety of meeting and dining spaces also made planning easy and gave us great flexibility throughout. We truly felt supported and well looked after at every stage.||This was, hands down, some of the best service I’ve experienced anywhere. I’ll absolutely be recommending Oakley Court to colleagues and contacts — and I’m already looking forward to coming back for some personal time at the hotel soon.||Huge thanks again to everyone involved — your hard work, professionalism, and warmth didn’t go unnoticed.

Really disappointed with my visit to the river house..For such a fantastic location and great potential I feel it’s wasted.I know it’s not known for the food there as in big restaurants and a vast menu but again loads room for improvement… lobster linguine my wife ordered was terrible with one piece of of lobster,in there defence they took two portions of the bill but I would rather pay and enjoy my evening. As a local I’ve been several times but this visit by far was the worst experience.Service was really slack from certain servers not all but some..the toilets were unclean which we had to mention..just felt grubby everywhere!! I noticed on entry there was a dried patch of vomit which wasn’t good.Price for the premixed picante which I normally love were made with no passion at all so generally value for money at the moment I wouldn’t recommend I’m afraid.Generally overall a disappointment.

Well I have not actually been to this hotel, as my booking, made back in January, has been unilaterally cancelled this week, by the hotel due to an "Exclusive Use Event". Given our trip to the UK has been planned to include several hotel bookings, this is very poor behaviour from a hotel in cancelling a booking made many months before. I have had no choice but to make alternate arrangements at short notice, and additional cost. I would be wary of booking with this hotel, given the uncertainty that we experienced.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and dissatisfaction with my recent stay at river house Windsor. I had high expectations given by your reputation, but unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory due to what appears to be a disordered employee management system.||During my stay at river house Windsor, I faced a rather distressing situation. I discovered that £400 of cash I had in my backpack went missing. I immediately reported this issue to the hotel staff, I was appalled by the lack of an appropriate response.||There were no effective countermeasures put in place to address the problem. Instead of showing concern and taking steps to assist, the staff seemed indifferent, Instead of comforting me right away, the assistant manager said he will take this as accusation? I was just describing what had happened, I was just seeking for help.||I tried to report the issue to the superior department and asked the staff if the manager was there today. Only then I realize that he had been right next to me the whole time, witnessing the entire process. However, he never came over to talk to me on his own initiative. I reached out to speak to the manager, standing by without offering any form of comfort or practical help which made me feel extremely helpless and frustrated. This lack of concern and follow - through is unacceptable.||The Easter family trip was supposed to be a joyous and relaxing occasion, filled with laughter, and the simple pleasures of spending time together with my elderly mum and little one. However, what transpired was far from our expectations. To our great dismay, we encountered such an unpleasant situation that it's truly intolerable.||I believe Soho house should uphold the highest standards of service and customer care, and part of that is having a well - organized employee management system. In this case, the system has clearly failed.||I spent about 60days in the hotel worldwide last year, I have never encountered such an experience before. I hope that you will take this matter seriously, conduct a thorough review of your employee training and management protocols, and take steps to prevent such incidents from happening again in the future.

It’s a lovely location and the main building has several beautiful rooms to spend time in. The grounds are prettily landscaped and the places to sit by the river are really nicely done.|The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable, but it’s here that you start to smack into the list of “buts” referred to in the title.|Rates vary each day, but on the Saturday the rate for our room was over £400 excluding breakfast, which in effect means heading well towards £500 including breakfast and the obligatory service charge (more on that later). So to have towels with labels saying they have a security tag and a note saying you’d be charged if you take toiletries felt very cheap - like a budget hotel in a city centre.|I mentioned that the grounds are nice, but on the Sunday morning there were bottles and glasses from the night before by the river and little things like some of the paths having weeds growing up through them. Not terrible, just not premium.|12.5% service charge at breakfast despite mostly you have to get it yourself. Having had our second breakfast I noticed someone getting a menu, but we were never offered one. There was also a weird example of patchy service - cups of coffee ordered individually and when second cups were brought old dirty cups were not removed. On a table of six they soon mounted up.|Second day, as we sat down for breakfast as group of six we gave our three room numbers. However, two rooms got the correct charge and the third was charged for six breakfasts - again seemed to be a sign of patchy service / poor staff training. This was sorted out at checkout, but was a really odd sort of error.|Didn’t try the outside restaurant, so we had the informal menu. Burger was certainly “well done” and was very very small.|Overall….not terrible, but just not as nice as it could have been.

I recently stayed at the Oakley Court hotel in Windsor and was impressed by its historical ambiance and impeccably maintained grounds. The main building is particularly striking when illuminated at night, and the lawns leading down to the river create a beautiful view. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I especially enjoyed the variety of amenities, including the indoor pool and the option to rent bicycles for rides around the property. I recommend this hotel for family vacations and history enthusiasts.
