Staff friendly, hotel was clean, Room looks nothing like the pictures although was a good size room with small windows for sea view. |Location convenient for beach and shops.| just a few things that need addressing, didn't get to use facilities as have a dog. Price should be reduced rather than increased with a dog as limited to what you can do. Should be a returnable deposit rather than £20 extra per night. |I would have used the pool, gym, have paid extra for breakfast if the dog was allowed in the areas. Shooting yourself in the foot with this one. |It was rather hot in the hotel and had to have the windows open the whole time which was ok until noise of a late night wedding reception kept me awake until early hours when had to be up early for half marathon. The fact that it was that weekend and the main road out front of hotel was not allowing parking as the running route was passing the hotel, the car parks were rammed with wedding guests and nowhere to park for those staying there. They didn't think that one through.|The main lights in the room not working, just the bedside lights, i like to be able to see and read. Did complain about heating but no follow up on it. Probably didn't go any further than reception staff even though said they tell maintenance. Thats a pet hate of mine, being told they pass message on then do nothing.|Its little things that bring people back and just assuring people that its being looked into which i can see by others reviews that this is not the case. Heating on constantly. |The coffee in the room disgusting too, bought our own in the end.

Like most of the older hotels in Bournemouth there are areas that are showing signs of ageing, however the hotel is clean and well run. The food was excellent including a very extensive English breakfast. Unfortunately I fell ill during our visit (vertigo) and we had to leave early. All the staff were courteous and helpul and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I came here with my partner yesterday for a hotel for his birthday week as we are going around the area to different hotels. I got his name today which is John luke. Absolutely appalling the way I was spoken to. He was rude saying he shouldn’t have to do our booking because we had just done it when we hadn’t we did it a while ago and booking.com even says we had done it hours ago and paid like any normal hotel. He then gave us a room we did not pay for I came down to say it’s cold and he said that “you get what you pay for if you can afford these things in life.” Baring in mind he has no idea. Then he said I’ll give you a warm room that’s been used. The shower was broken the bed had been used and I went down and he was not there to complain. Just disgusting way to treat people. Even had some couple next to us say he did the same to them. We waited outside to come in with our bags and he stared at us and refused to let us in. I come here for a nice time I go to hotels regularly and I love to post how good places are on my socials but this was terrible. I was so upset. It was 2 singles together the worst night sleep. Terrible.
If you want the name it’s booked under its Guevara hamarashid. I will not be coming back and I will take this complaint further as no one should ever be so rude check your staff as I was not rude polite but he was out of order.

Kind regards, Alisha

Where do I start...? When booking, I called to ask if there was a lift to my room as I have mobility problems & was told yes. On arrival, there are quite a few steps up to the entrance & just an old broken stairlift (like you have at home) so I had to struggle up & down every time we went in & out. The lift was so small that even a manual wheelchair would not even fit in it (im seriously not exaggerating) & the smell was repulsive! Our room was not actually on the same floor as the lift, as it only serves the rooms at the back of the hotel. So again, I struggled up the stairs, that some were broken as they were spongy. Balancing at the top of the stairs to pull open the fire door towards me (which didn't even close as it didn't fit in the door frame). Our room was furthest away, but as I hadn't booked a sea view, & being on the side on the building, was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful sea view from a bay window. & unfortunately the windows didn't open properly. Although the room & sheets were clean, it felt dirty. The carpets were dirty & bed base was broken, there was blood on the wall, & we didn't risk the tea & coffee facilities. Mirror on the wardrobe door was broken & 1 inch nails sticking out on both sides of the bathroom door. The electric towel rail was wired in with tape & the complimentary toiletries are an insult & the bar of soap had already been opened & used. The corridor was dark & unwelcoming with no artwork, as was our room. Breakfast had a good selection, but unfortunately it was cold, & we were told the heated trolley wasn't working properly. The cereals had dessert spoons laying in them, so I didn't want to risk dirty fingers being put in to retrieve the spoon. The bar area was not as glamorous as the pictures & the balcony we were looking forward to having coffee on each day was basically the smoking area. The chairs in the bar were absolutely disgusting & I didn't feel comfortable sitting on them waiting for my husband while he was complaining about something else again & again. My mobility scooter had to be carried up every night to be charged up & down again every morning & I was happy leaving it in the reception area overnight. The bar, which was meant to be open to residents at all times, shut between 10-11pm. We didn't use the pool as it was actually a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures & is only accessible over a wide step through a patio door in the restaurant. We never saw the spa open. The stairs in the basement where the breakfast room, restaurant, pool & spa are, was a complete bodge job & a hazard, as was most of the other maintenance & the decorating was so slap dash & sloppy. Overall, the grottiest hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff were pleasant enough without having any authority to actually do anything. They had offered to move us to the ground floor but the reception was rowdy & I didn't feel safe sleeping near it. We suffered abuse from a guest smoking weed by the reception front door & it stunk reception & bar out. Parking is a big issue, there isn't enough. People double parking, parking in the EV charging spaces, for which again I asked when booking if I needed to book. I was told, no, i will be able to charge my car with ease as its not busy at all. We couldn't get parked or charged for the 1st or 2nd night & had to waste precious time finding somewhere at much greater expense. Finally on the last night we got plugged in! A staff member had to cone it off for us. You're charged £2.50 for the pleasure just to plug in. & in the morning, needing charge for my 200mile drive home, had a grand total of 34p!!!! NOT HAPPY!!! There is much more but I would be here all night!

Double bedroom was fine, good leisure facilities (pool, sauna, etc.), and good breakfast. However, the 3-course dinner that we had paid for at the Atlantic restaurant was very disappointing, to say the least. The food was very canteen-like. No flavour, no colour, not mouth-watering at all. You had hardly finished your first dish that the next one was already on its way and portions were tiny. The hotel itself is fine and clean, the Atlantic restaurant is to be avoided though.

We visited the pool and bar.
The pool seating area was very run down and unkempt, to this day I have a piece of glass in my foot.
Cold water pool, outdoors, small but perfect on a hot day. A bit of an awkward setup getting to the pool. It just needs some reconfiguration.

The cafe seating area is lovely, inside and outside. Hot drinks and fairy free milk options. Excellent service.

Great location and really helpful members of staff. For the price which wasn't cheap, rooms are old and tired and the whole place could do with a little tlc. I'm happy we were able to find parking in the hotel and not have to pay more for parking. Shout out to the reception staff and the guy at the bar!

Restaurant food good that is the only positive. Leak in bathroom water coming through the ceiling. No apology the room offered after asking to move had no windows. Stayed in room not able to shower.
