we had a wonderful oval weekend here, you live in the lovely English countryside, like a noble in a castle, in the middle of a park, and everything is right, breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner and great wines (although we missed a more precise wine list that also tells you the year and producer and not only says which vineyard in Burgundy the wine comes from, also somewhat high prices for the wine) Wine is taken seriously and there were large glass wine cabinets in the restaurant. Great big room with a view. The place is recommended.

One of the best hotel stays we have ever experienced. The staff were welcoming, friendly and clearly work as an efficient team. The hotel is situated in a beautiful park so there were pleasant walks to be had.|The restaurant staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. When we asked our waitress about the history of the building, she had a member of staff come up to our room later that evening with a booklet on the building’s past. |However, the star of the show, although it was hard to choose, was the hotel chef. The food was, not only,exceptional but innovative and what you would expect in a high-end restaurant. Every morsal was a delight. |Already planning our next visit.

Just had my sons wedding at Oddfellows.we had a fantastic time.The staff were great ,food was great,The rooms for the wedding itself were tastefully decorated.
The room we stayed over in was so comfortable and the breakfast was very good.
All in we all had a great time. Thank you

Great hotel with incredible attention to detail and an enchanting charm. Excellent service that immediately makes you feel at home. The rooms are of course very clean, well furnished and very quiet. And this despite the fact that the hotel is located directly in the Manchester flight path. The ancient thick walls and good windows prevent any aircraft noise. I slept wonderfully well, the mattresses were excellent. An absolute insider tip.

In the area one morning so stopped by for breakfast. Lovely building on first impressions. ||Lady attending to tables was very pleasant in dining room. ||Menu had options from £12 - 20. I opted for the £20 breakfast. This included cereal (not bothered), toast etc. Not a good spread auxiliary to the breakfast options, e.g. no fruit / yogurt etc.||Coffee was dreadful. Sorry, you need address this. Coffee should be ground - not some weak muck in a teapot. ||Aside from that, food was nice. Service good. Nice backdrop. ||Small things let it down as stated.

Lovely hotel - we will definately stay there next time we are in the area.|Handy location to the airport. The restaurant was excellent - fabulous breakfast included and a nice place to eat later in the day - tasty menu. On other occasions we Ubered easily into neighboring village of Cheadle for meals and a drink. The park is really good for an early morning walk before breakfast and there is an expansive children's play area, and a pitch and putt golf course suitable for families.|The only negative is the limited car parking by the hotel, but we found this to not be a problem as it is free overnight in the neighboring parking lot before 9.30am. Otherwise it is 4 pounds a day.|The hotel is memorably swish and stylish, with tastful, clean and comfortable rooms and beds.|Perfect!

Visited for Afternoon tea. With a voucher bought as a present. We were shown to our table by Jake. He was very polite & explained what we got. First we were asked if we would like a bottle of water. When the stand arrived it had everything for 2 people. Sandwiches, sausage rolls, wraps, scones with jam & cream plus 3 different types of cakes. Tea & coffee were free flowing all you had to do was ask. Because we had more than we could eat we asked for something to put the cakes in. We were give plastic tubs to bring them home.|All in all a very special afternoon. Staff & food were excellent.

Beautiful hotel and ideal for staying before travelling from Manchester Airport. The hotel was very clean and staff were friendly. We were asked to provide our arrival time but the room wasn’t ready yet, and the bar was full when we arrived with staff, so we had to wait in a cramped corner. The WiFi also wasn’t working throughout our stay. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay!
