My wife and I stayed here for a two night leisure break during early December. We had stayed here once before many years ago and it was a default choice to return. The hotel is far from cheap but it's very nice indeed and right in the middle of Oxford, so easily walkable to pretty much anywhere in the centre of the city. We booked a Deluxe room and stayed in Room 40. It's on the top floor overlooking High Street (and the Radcliffe Camera). That's exactly what we wanted - it's quiet, with little noise from the street, but still has a beautful view (probably lower ceiling than rooms on lower floors but we didn't care about that). The bedroom and bathroom were lovely, just what you would expect from a luxury boutique hotel like this. The room had nice touches like very nice tea and coffee and moreish home-made complimentary biscuits etc. The public areas of the hotel are very smart too. We didn't dine in the hotel restaurant because my recollection from last time was that - unlike the rest of the hotel - it's slightly characterless and would probably be a bit noisy when full. I wouldn't change my mind having been back (it's more a brasserie type venue that would be good for breakfast or lunch but not for an intimate couple's dinner for example). The complementary car park behind the hotel is a big asset, but make sure to pre-book your place (the hotel actually contacted us to offer this proactively). The entrance to the car park is very narrow and I wouldn't like to try getting a full sized vehicle into it (although it's possible, someone had got a Discovery into it somehow when we were there). Front desk and housekeeping were discreet, efficient, warm and welcoming. Overall, top notch hotel. We won't consider anywhere else next time we visit Oxford.

We stayed for one night and wish we’d had longer. We received a very warm welcome and could check in a little earlier. We stayed in room 33 which looks over the back of the hotel. ||The room was spotless, bed was comfortable with high quality linen. A fully stocked minibar/fridge. Shower was possibly the best I’ve ever had.||Food in the restaurant was delicious - as were the cocktails. ||I can’t fault it!

This is our third stay at the Old Bank hotel and it’s without a doubt our favourite place. The staff are incredible - so attentive and genuinely want you to have the best stay possible. The rooms are fantastic and so comfortable. Could not rate highly enough!

From start to finish, Sebastian was a gem. I work in the customer service industry myself so I recognize when people go above & beyond. I had a very difficult night and worked many hours upon checking in and was very much looking forward to a bath. I arrived very late into the hotel and Sebastian transferred me into a room with a tub- cheers!
Again, above & beyond service. I stay at either the Parsonnage or OB bank but I think OB may be a new favorite.

Delicious and imaginative food and drink and attentive service. Interesting art on the walls. Don't go if you are hard of hearing, though, as the stone floors re-echo the noise of a crowded restaurant.

I did not mention the cost of this hotel to my husband before booking it as he is a bit frugal. I chose it because it was in the heart of old Oxford and had a free parking space for our rental car. I did not want to navigate the congested Oxford Streets driving on the left side of the street trying to find a parking space. We are both senior citizens with physical walking limitations. We glided into our parking space and left the car in it for our whole visit. We bought a hop on and hop off bus pass. The bus stop was right outside the Inn. We were able to visit all the major sights we wanted to see and limit our need for unnecessary walking and Ubers and taxi's. We had a well organized handicapped room. Not all of them are as functional as this one. We were able to walk to nearby eateries easily. We also ate in the Quod restaurant one night when it was raining and it was great. We paid to have the morning breakfasts which were outstanding. My husband was particularly impressed with them. The staff was lovely and extremely helpful with advice and offers to help with bags.If you are young healthy and on a budget this might not be the best match. But, if you are older, want to be in the middle of history, need to be careful about physical effort, and comfortable with the cost, this is an outstanding hotel experience. I confessed the cost to my husband before we left and he uncharacteristically said, "It was worth every penny."

My Fiancé arranged a surprise birthday stay here for us on 10/01/2025.
From the moment we walked in, the staff were nothing but amazing, could not do enough to help us. We also were greeted with some champagne and cakes in our rooom plus a little Teddy for our daughter. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and the bed was super comfortable. The complimentary toiletries were also great quality. We also had great views of the University from our bedroom.
The hotel is ideally located for sightseeing and shopping.
We had both dinner and breakfast in the Quod restaurant within the hotel. The food and service was impeccable, we were looked after by Manuela at dinner and again she could not do enough for us.
All in all, we will definitely return, hopefully for longer next time.
Highly recommend.

Great hotel. Could not get a better location in central Oxford on high street. Other than a Taxi out to Blenheim, we we able to walk everywhere. Five minutes to the Bodleian which was on our bucket list. Ten minutes to the Thames.|Stayed three nights and would have stayed longer if a room was available. Will definitely be back.
