My wife and I stayed with Jennifer at her excellent home twice on our recent trip back to the UK, nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel most welcome. Our bedroom was spacious and very clean with an ensuite and very comfortable with working WIFI!! This is a true home away from home, breakfast is excellent and Jennifer catered for my wife's dietary restrictions in the most obliging manner, even their dog is a beautiful and well mannered boy. Do not miss out on a stay here.

We stayed at the Old Cali and where overwhelmed by the hospitality that awaited us. The rooms were immaculate with everything you could possibly need for a short break. The kids loved the heated pool and had it all to themselves. Breakfast was freshly cooked and we were offered half a dozen choices. Jennifer couldn't have done more to ensure the kids needs were met even packing up drinks for our journey. Fabulous place to stay, great location for discovering the local countryside. Will return - probably very soon!!

Excellent accommodation. Have stayed there twice now as our daughter lives in the same road as this guest house. Jennifer and Andrew are brilliant with their guests. I now feel that it would be going to stay with friends. Enjoyed the company of their family and breakfast. , (oh and also their gorgeous dog). Jennifer can't do enough for her guests. If you have been down that neck of the woods, make sure to book.

We stayed in this lovely house last weekend and had a lgreat time. Arrived to a warm welcome from Jennifer after a horrible wet drive over the moors. Our room was spacious and well equipped with plenty of places to sit and read , chat or watch TV. Also lovely views over the moor. Breakfast was excellent, served in the owners spacious kitchen. Nothing was too much trouble, local information, restaurant and things to do advice. Almost like staying with friends. Lots to do in the surrounding area, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park is amazing, fantastic to see the sculptures in the landscape. The Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield is another must. We also had a nice walk around Newmillerdam. In fact there were lots of things we didn't do. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay ay The Old Cali. The room was excellent and Jennifer and her family were great hosts. There was a very relaxed and comfortable feeling around the breakfast table in the morning and it was obvious that all of the long term guests felt at home. I visit Barnsley two or three times a year to see family and I will be certain to stay here again.||Thank you.

I just had to write the Old Cali in Staincross. I made a last minute booking due to a change of plan. Although I only stayed one night, it was a fantastic experience, the room was large very well equipped, with tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was also large with a magnificent shower system.||Your breakfast is included made to order, and you are invited into Jennifer's massive kitchen dining room to eat. I shall certainly stay there again. Thank you Jennifer

This is the best B&B you will ever stay in. First of all our room was massive, the cleanliness was what id expect of a 5 star hotel, the shower is a massage shower, there is Nivea cashmere hand wash in the rooms, a 37inch plasma tv, electric curtains, and a sofa. The breakfast is nothing short of awesome and the hospitality is out of this world. The landlady is wonderful and it feels like a being at home with my own mum.

Stayed at this b&b at the weekend with family. We occupied a twin room as well as a double. The double room was very spacious and the twin room was on the small side but comfortable non the less. The owners were extremely friendly and willing to please. The kitchen where you sat for breakfast was out of the latest home and garden magazine with views over the valley to die for. The breakfast was a full English alongside cereal and fruit. Well worth a visit.
