Having heard it has changed to Nepalese cuisine, we were excited to try some dishes not available in Indian takeaways around here (they do the usual Indian dishes too), and it was all lovely. Momos and samosa chaat to start, chicken rum rum and a tadka dal, with naan bread. All very tasty, and different flavours to any Indian dishes we've had, very fragrant, creamy, and a decent but not overpowering spice (we ordered medium). We will definitely be coming back.

A mouthwatering delight to the taste buds. We were a party of six on the Saturday after Christmas and the Old Crown at Girton was pretty busy but the service and attention was first class.
The menu is a masterpiece. An amazing selection of dishes, reasonably priced bar and super friendly staff and management all combined together to make it a most memorable occasion.

The Nepalese restaurant here really is very good indeed was working in Cambridge and found this place when looking for a curry house (they actually have several more venues similar dotted around Cambridge) we were not disappointed to the point of visiting four times in even tried the phall on my last visit not the hottest one I've ever had but still would manage to blow the cobwebs away, they do a tandoori sizzler which is also very good, lovely staff and Guinness on draft what's not to like!

Fantastic food, great value for what was top end food. We had a good mix and I also had a special request (having lived in Nepal) and they went out of their way to arrange it.
The service was very, very attentive and supportive. I really appreciated it but some people may want it dialled back a smidgen. Not a complaint at all - I thought it was fantastic. Everything was explained so well and the staff were always available.
Again, the food was great - I especially loved the momo sauce but it was all good.

As a Type1 diabetic I thought I would play it safe, so I just ordered a vegetable curry. It was medium spicy and quite tasty. I just ate half, but regretfully, after testing my blood sugar, it was sky high, so the curry must have contained a wild amount of sugar. I find the most enjoyable and professional curries just have spices without sugar to tame down the heat. This requires a totally different type of cooking, which takes much longer to prepare and a higher degree of cooking skills.

Love going to the old crown. It's relatively close to where we live and all the times we went so far I've enjoyed the experience. The beer garden is a great Hangout place in the summer and the food is so good. Both times we went we had 3 courses because there's such good selection of food and the portions are just right for me to enjoy three courses without feeling stuffed or feeling like I didn't eat enough. This time food did not disappoint and my partner fell in love with the chocolate orange e cheesecake ahah. My father in law said the sticky toffee pudding was the best he had ever tried. I thought all food was incredible, loved every dish. Staff is super friendly as well, all of them who we interacted with were funny and super sweet. Recommend.

We arrived for their first night as they introduced a new Nepalese menu, which was absolutely stunning. The food was delicious, we shared the Large Mixed Grill with the Vegetarian Momo which paired well with Viognier wine we ordered on arrival. We were warmly welcomed by the new team who are very excited to introduce their new menu. Highly recommend, please try their fabulous food and support a wonderful new business.

This was a chance finding and we are so glad we did.
The Old crown is well decorated and a very friendly welcome, aswell as a fabulous selection of beers and spirits . Outside seating looked extremely nice and invited, but we chose to sit in side.
The food was very well described on the menu and all sounded so appetising. Well, the choices we made were delicious and of able size, for the money. It's a shame it's so far away from our village, but will return when this way again. Top marks
