Always wanted to stay here. |PRO'S|Great room, lovely comfy bed, spacious room nicely decorated. Everything clean and tidy! Check in nice pleasant welcome. Had 2 treatments in the spa and very happy, thank you! CONS Lots of locals using the 'bar' below (apparently not part of the hotel) and using the spa/leisure facilities so felt a little bit in the way as a hotel guest!|Had x2 starters in 'bar' part of restaurant I ordered a prawn cocktail and frozen prawns used!! Being a coastal town I'd of expected fresh prawns, husband a soup we have never seen 'soup' so thick like wall paper paste! Waitress handled complaint well seemed surprised they were frozen prawns, offered to take soup of of bill so effort was made to rectify our issue. We paid bill in full but had a glass of wine on house. The bar was extremely noisy again from locals using. Overall slightly disappointing if I'm honest, room great, food average just felt in the minority for the hotel experience. Wanting to escape for a romantic couple of days was unfortunately blighted by a few factors of which I've mentioned. Breakfast nice enough. Would I book again probably not only for the fact if I'm in a hotel I want the whole hotel experience not feel in the way.

What a little gem. We were looking for a place to go for breakfast, and at short noticed booked a table. The food was exceptional, all staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Margaretta who looked after us. We will definitely stay next time.

This hotel is fabulous, beautifully appointed rooms which could not have been cleaner, attentive friendly staff and fantastic food. The spa and pool are fabulous too. I am so pleased we have discovered this hotel, we will definitely return as I can’t remember the last time we were treated so well.

Enjoyed a 2 night stay in room 3. ||Room was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, comfy bed, great shower, air-con, there was a kettle with tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits, which was replenished each day, there was also a little fridge. Soft white towels and spare towels in the wardrobe for use in the pool/spa. ||USB ports are under the tv, not by the side of the bed. Only one plug by the bed so had to unplug the bedside light to plug in my iPhone charger. ||Our room was above the bar area, we could hear a little noise late at night but not enough to disturb our sleep. ||The fire alarm went off twice on Saturday afternoon and evening, the second time was quite late as we were in bed. Both times it stopped after about 20 seconds - but we received no explanation or contact from any staff regarding it. ||The reception desk is next to the entrance to the pool/gym. We only saw a member of staff on reception once when we arrived, the rest of the time it was unmanned, even when we checked out, there’s a perspex box to drop your room key card into. ||On Sunday morning he went down to breakfast for 8am. The door into the bar, which leads to the restaurant, was locked, so we waited in the reception with another couple staying at the hotel and 9 locals who were waiting for the pool/gym to open. ||We didn’t use the bar as both evenings when we walked through it was full of locals, very noisy with no free seats/tables - and as we were on a romantic weekend break it wasn’t the atmosphere we were hoping for. ||The restaurant isn’t that big and on our second evening there were 2 separate 60th birthday parties with 26 of the seats reserved. ||One party arrived whilst we were eating, they were very noisy and as soon as they arrived 3 of the party made video calls. One person stood behind my husband and I could actually see my husband and I on the mobile phone screen during the video call. We felt like we were gatecrashing or intruding a private party. ||However, the food was lovely and staff very friendly. ||There’s a large white marquee by the front of the hotel near the bar and restaurant. And right underneath our bedroom windows. I’ve attached a photo. I assume this gets full/busy during the warmer months. ||Even though the hotel has plenty of parking it was very difficult to find a parking bay on both days. I also noticed that lots of people used the disabled parking bays without any blue badges on show - my elderly mother has a blue badge due to heart failure - so I get very annoyed when people park in disabled parking when they don’t have a blue badge. ||When we arrived on Friday afternoon we struggled to find somewhere to park, when we mentioned to the receptionist about how difficult it was to park, she said it was due to the hotel holding a wake. ||The busy car park is also due to locals using it to visit the pool/gym, beauty salon and bar. However as our room looked out onto the car park, we noticed that once the pool/gym, beauty salon and bar closed parking became available - but this isn’t very helpful if you arrive during the day when everything is open. ||There is a Lidl next door - but it has its own car park and we found it handy to pop in a get a few bits. ||So to sum up - we had a great sleep but parking was an issue, and I can only imagine this gets worse in the summer months

Stayed here a few weekends ago, just booked again for June so we can enjoy the amazing beach. Nice rooms, great Spa. All really clean and modern. We’re not one’s for going back to places normally but this hotel is an exception. Friendly reception staff and the on site restaurant is top notch. Five stars well deserved.

Was a great find to treat ourselves to for our anniversary! Couldn't fault and would love to make it a regular visit. Breakfast was good all staff were kind and friendly. Spa was a little busy in the pool to swim but with a bit of patience we got our laps in. Lovely room that was definitely worth the upgrade.
