Colette was a warm and welcoming host, spotlessly clean room. Stayed one night while visiting Chick Sands base just up the road. Delicious cereal and toast for breakfast with home made jam, would definitely book again.

Very friendly host. The rooms were clean.
The house, including bedrooms smell very strongly of cigarette smoke and my friend & I both left with slight coughs. Bedding is old & mismatching, mattress uncomfortable.
Breakfast is basic, fruit salad, fruit juice, tea, coffee & toast. Nothing hot is available. I was asked to take my own gluten free bread. Limited choice of home made jam, only the jars that are currently open or we would have had to buy one.
Room was basic but clean, bedlinen old, everything smelt of cigarette smoke

After booking into The Airman nearby (as attending a funeral nearby) we met Colette who happens to be the owner of this quirky little B&B & thank goodness we did as we were able to de-camp ourselves to stay here instead. (The Airman appalling) ||||Lovely old fashioned rooms which were clean & comfortable. Colette could not have been more accommodating. Thank you. Beautiful Garden too.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Old Joes, Colette's hospitality was first rate. I'm an American who was based at RAF Chicksands 25 years past, and Old Joe's was the perfect place to base myself for the return visit. I will be recommending it to my other US veteran friends. Colette's back garden is amazing, a site to behold! She also runs a small taxi like service, which was handy as I didn't drive over there. Would definitely stay here again! |

I only required a small single room for a training day away from work by myself and I chose the area because I wanted a peaceful rural setting for a good nights sleep but reasonably close to Letchworth. ||The room was very clean as was the bathroom and everything worked perfectly. Colette is a lovely host and gave me a continental breakfast which was elegantly presented and perfect for my needs. Coffee was good.||In terms of budget it was very fairly priced. ||Good Wifi||Thank you Colette

collett is a wonderful lady, good clean rooms lovely bathroom overlooking a most wonderful garden . she makes lovely jams and preserves. a most enjoyable stay for 3 days,we were not disappointed in any way we hope to return next year to stay with her again. regards mr & mrs g copley x

Stayed one night Mid January 2015 and we found it a pleasant experience with nice helpful host Colette who made sure we were comfortable. The room was cosy and we slept very well in a very comfortable bed.Breakfast good too. Parking off road. Altogether a good experience and a veritable home-from-home. Would highly recommend it.

Our host colette was very wecolming, our room was clean and bright with tv, tea/coffee available, bathroom very clean. Continental breakfast with home made jams, marmalade. Lovely lady would stay again.
