After a very long drive we arrived at the location to a shed at the back of someone’s garden with no one around to great us. There was a dog running around the shed and sniffing all the cutlery. |It was meant to be a beautiful log cabin but was a medium size shed, This was advertised for 4 people but was only able to accommodate a couple, it wasn’t very clean and the bathroom was appalling.|When the owners arrived and we voiced our concerns, the man was understanding but the wife was very rude and abrupt.|They said they would only be able to give a certain amount back as we told them we would t be staying and the mean wife said she would charge us as our disabled elderly member of the group used their toilet.|Customer service is appalling!!!!!|False advertisement ( shed not a lodge ) |For how much you pay for this we could have had a weekend abroad and now stuck at a travel lodge on a motor way . Happy birthday to our friend.|

We had originally booked for 2 nights but had to change plans due to a long drive expected after the following day. Hard to check in when nobody was around. Had to find a renter in another buying to find the owner. Finally was able to check in after a wait time. Land around the area was very scenic. Cabin was 2 years old and but fairly well. No seals around the door. Cast fireplace was way too small to give enough heat. Stock full of wood, heat only would last for 2 hours. Since it was late April the temp overnight fell to around 40 inside and out. Compost toilet was a disappointment. Shower area was nice but there was a question over how hot the water would be since propane tank was low so we didn't bother with a shower. None of would have mattered in June. July or August but firebox need to be replaced. Owners need to insure someone is around to run the business properly.

My husband and I stayed the night of our wedding. We were admittedly late to arrive (arrived at 12.35 and had said we would be there by 12.30) to what felt like a passive aggressive note (“I waited until 1 am”) we totally understood the owner not waiting up for us it was an extremely late check in! However it would have been nice to have had the fire lit… the fire was built but not lit, the lighter was out of gas and we couldn’t get the propane hob lit, so piled the extra blankets on the bed and cuddled up for a cold night (in August). The blind on the doors and windows did nothing to keep the light out and did nothing for privacy. We got out of bed and went for breakfast for 9am (as there wasn’t a breakfast time given and we assumed this was early enough on a Sunday), struggled to figure out where we were meant to be going for food, and when we did there was no one in. So we had to go elsewhere for breakfast. ||||It’s a beautiful idea, poorly executed! The “cabins” could have done with more insulation, and if you are looking to advertise as more than Glamping then please look at the facilities that you offer and the standard of customer service, perhaps hire someone to run the cabins for you as you are clearly very busy with other ventures and it makes for a poor customer experience. ||||We regretted staying the night, knowing we would have been more comfortable and felt less of a nuisance at home. Having worked in the hospitality industry for over a decade I know that this isn’t how I should feel as a customer (even if I am being hard work), furthermore it’s not how I should feel when staying at an establishment the knows it’s our wedding night.

Beautiful grounds lovely hosts.|basic but that’s what we wanted. Peaceful and relaxing stay. Listening to the steam behind the cabin at night was magically.||Really enjoyed our stay ,mattress could do with updating though.|Daughter slept snug as a bug on the sofa bed

It lacked finesse. No shower, no toilet roll holder. Dirty loo brush. Nowhere to put personal things in the bathroom. We weren't told beforehand we had to pay extra for breakfast or have to walk around without shoes or sandals in the B&B. I agree with other reviews, the mattresses need updating . Very disappointed

Booked this B&B and then found out I had to cancel my booking. No telephone number given anywhere. Tried various sites to no avail to obtain their telephone number. Seems they do not want to disclose this

Really friendly family with fascinating backgrounds run this. The cooked breakfast was super. and the grounds are like a country house!
