We stayed at the Old Post House in Moretonhampstead, Devon while visiting relatives in late October/early November 2024. This charming B&B exceeded our expectations in every way. Sue and Andy, the hosts, were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and genuine warmth truly set this place apart. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, providing a cozy retreat after long days of family visits.|The English breakfast was amazing. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious, hearty meal that set us up perfectly for the day ahead.|What really made our stay special was how Sue and Andy went above and beyond to make our daughter Olivia feel included. Sue invited her to help with the Halloween decorations and even involved her in the trick-or-treating festivities. It was a wonderful touch that made our family feel truly welcome.|As dog lovers, we were delighted to meet Gracie and Ziggy, the resident dogs. Sue and Andy were kind enough to let us take them for walks, which was a real treat.|The Old Post House is more than just a place to stay; it's a home away from home. We would thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting Moretonhampstead or exploring the beautiful Devon countryside.

Andy and Sue were extremely welcoming.|The rooms were very clean, beautifully decorated and equipped.|Tea and coffee in the room with extras on a tray on the landing to help yourselves to if wanted.|Spacious room, blackout curtains, very comfortable mattress, lots of little extras which added to the comfort.|En suite bathroom was large and well fitted, shower powerful and very soft, fluffy towels. Nice mirror for make up, etc.|Room was quiet, fan in cupboard if required but not needed.|Breakfast was lovely, bowl of fresh fruit on the table, yogurt, cereal, madeleine cakes, followed by choice of full English or eggs benedict, etc all cooked to order. The best oven roasted tomatoes. Lovely cafetiere of coffee for the table - best coffee of the trip.|We used the lounge area for a drink before dinner - we provided the drink and Andy provided the glasses. Andy kindly shared some dinner venue suggestions. Took him up on The Union (amazing food and so reasonable). Used the lounge area again on return for a drink with our friends before bed - lovely area to relax and natter.|Thank you Sue and Andy for giving us the best sleep on the last night of our break.

A really lovely place to stay. Andrew and Sharon are fantastic hosts with interesting stories to tell. They can't do enough for you. The bed was very comfortable my only fault if I have to be very very picky was, that the bedroom curtains could have been heavier(Darker) as I do not like the light when I'm in bed, This is a personal thing. However, it did not stop my wife from sleeping and if she has a good nights sleep my life is a lot easier.

Simple but pleasant. There was nothing fancy but the hosts were nice, the rooms had everything we needed. Everything was clean and the location is right inside of a beautiful village in the park.

We like firm mattress so for us the mattress felt a little too soft. However, it's a matter of personal preference.

Nothing was too much for these lovely hosts, made us feel very relaxed with their very nice guest house. The place was immaculately presented with a comfortable bed with en suite. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice with locally sourced products. We hope to stay again soon and would highly recommend it

We booked to stay at the old post house as had a friends wedding at Bovey castle. ||Absolutely amazing place! Andy and Sue welcomed us into their beautiful home. Really lovely people that made us feel at home. ||The rooms were spotless and for the price a absolute bargain! ||Breakfast in the morning was delicious and freshly cooked! We loved our stay and will defiantly be back again! Thank you soo much for a fab nights sleep and full tummies!

From the moment we arrived with Rosie our lovely dog, we felt so welcome and Andy and Sue were so helpful. The accommodation was immaculate and comfortable. Andy helped us with the dog and advised on eating out. Breakfast was lovely and really there are not enough superlatives to describe this property. Thank you Andy and Sue for the perfect start to our holiday.
