😊: Perfect location for our purposes. Good parking. Light and airy with thoughtful decoration. All the equipment you could possibly want. Good wifi and TV. Generous welcome pack. Decent towels and bedding..
😢: Very minor points only:
Could’ve done with somewhere in the shower to put soap/shampoo.
Very little space to put our own food.
Freezer compartment in fridge needs defrosting..

😊: Next to Abbey Gardens which was a lovely walk through to the town.
Nice apartment for a couple of days.
Would go again..
😢: Daytime traffic noise
No outdoor area to sit and have a coffee, when the weather is nice.
Sofa could do with a deep clean..

I don't quite want to give a poor but its definitely a low average so would rate our experience as 2 and a half from 5. The location is brilliant, nice to have easy parking and leave the car for the weekend.||We stayed in Apartment 1 and despite being on a busy road sleep quality was good as the windows cut out a lot of the noise. Quite small and sweet, kitchen is VERY compact don't expect too much up in there!||As to issues, the shower didn't look as it had been cleaned, the glass was heavily water stained and all the taps both bathroom and kitchen were water tarnished.||The shower didn't drain very well and when using it you were standing in a couple of inches of water and constantly worried there was going to be a flood. ||Decor was generally good but could be tidied up a bit with marks on walls and a rug falling apart in the lounge area. It was also very dark trying to get back in the front door at night.||My wife had stayed in the adjoining large property earlier this year with friends and was so impressed so booked Apartment 1 for us assuming it to be of the same standard - it wasn't and she was left disappointed.||Management were contacted and a partial refund offered and we were told they were aware of issues and were going to refurbish soon.||Would probably not book again.

Location great, free parking & wifi. Nice old building, plenty of crockery/ cutlery etc. But only 1 toilet roll for 3 people for a weekend and kettle disgustingly full of limescale, stain previously mentioned on earlier review on sofa still there, single beds could do with a mattress topper. These things sadly marred all the good points.

Location is great being right alongside the Abbey Gardens and we were lucky that traffic was quite being in the Christmas holiday period. Upon initial entry it looks lovely and as the pictures describe however we quickly learnt that the squeaky floorboards across the rooms made it very difficult to move quietly around. The squeaky double bed made it very uncomfortable and noisy. The shower head is quite disgusting as was the stain on the sofa. We then spent 2 hours defrosting the freezer so that we could open the trays and use it. Little things but not what we expect from a holiday rental. Nor did we expect to have to throw food away because the fridge had frozen them! The tv wasn't worth trying to watch as any decent channel pixelated. The wifi worked so not all was lost. A disappointing rental (our first in many years of renting). Will go to Premier Inn instead next time.
