Loved my stay there, the kids were elated. The cottage was clean and equipped with everything to make your stay pleasant. The hosts were so kind and welcoming, so generous to share these wonderful views with their guests. I cannot wait to go back. I highly recommend it if you need a break. Buy careful, you might never want to leave 😊

It was our first time to visit Isle of Wight and it is such an amazing place. The accommodation called Stable Cottages was value for money as we stayed for nearly a week. We love the cottage because it was very clean, bigger than the usual cottages we stayed in the past, breathtaking sea view and it has the important appliances we need as a family: kitchen with cooker, microwave, oven, fridge. They also have ironing board + iron, vacuum cleaner and many more things. The hosts Nigel and Mary were very friendly and accommodating. They asked us if we wanted to feed the ponies and it was such a delight to see my children feeding their ponies called 'Hovies" and 'Tiptoe". My children also saw the herd of cows. Nigel has also asked if my children would like to drive the farm tractor and what an amazing experience for my children. There is also a small pond and it has so many carps, very calming and tranquil place. Their farm is so big and we enjoyed walking down to the beach. We would like to thank Mary and Nigel for our amazing experience. I highly recommend this place.

A short vacation for us -Always wanted to visit the island and it fitted nicely with other plans.

But where to stay? We were looking for a nice quiet self cater ( an airbnb would have suited) but came across Old Stable cottage, and liked the look of it.

Overall - a splendid find. I can think of next to nothing not to like - the place is clean, bright, comfortable and accessible. All the usual bonuses of beautiful views, peace and quiet etc that you would expect in a country cottage, with the lovely bonus of a nicely stocked fridge on our arrival.

The owner was friendly and helpful without being obtrusive. Thank you for that.

Finding the place takes a bit of doing! We originally followed our normally reliable sat nav, to find ourselves 'cul-de-sac'ed in a caravan park. A quick call to the owner sorted us out.

One thing I must mention is the superb accessibility of the buildings; neither of us have mobility or access problems, but my previous job has made me acutely aware of access issues, and I could not fault Old Stable cottage. Ask the owner, but book with confidence.

If I had to mention one minus. I REALLY don't know how people survive on 3g broadband ( router supplied by the owner though!). But that's a small thing in an otherwise perfect location.

My brother and sister in law stayed, I live on the island so popped in. Very wheelchair friendly, plenty of room especially in the bedroom and bathroom, lovely quiet location, highly recommended.

Owner got us out of a jam at short notice. Cottage was spotless and well equipped, dog friendly and only a stones throw away from the beach. We enjoyed our stay here
