A bed and breakfast in the countryside. Near Lotus and a few minutes to Norwich made the location perfect. Has EV charging. An extremely charming and quaint place with a wonderful host. Thank you so much for your hospitality, and we will be back!

I stayed here for a business trip. Perfect location for those visiting Lotus. The rooms are spacious, well kept, clean. A very cosy feel with all the facilities required for a B&B. Comfy large bed, good sized en-suite with towels and shampoo and shower gel. Breakfast facilities are a very good choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts or a selection of cooked breakfasts.

Three of us recently stayed for two nights while attending a wedding in the area. We had a lovely stay - Old Thorn Barn is spotlessly clean, the beds are super-comfy and the guy who runs it is very friendly. We really appreciated having access to a fridge and we had drinks in the lounge area one evening while watching TV, which was really nice. Breakfast in the morning was a real treat, too. My only slight complaint would be that noise travels really easily from the communal areas but we got unlucky and had some early risers staying at the same time as us... would not hesitate to stay here again though and would thoroughly recommend to anyone who needs easy access to Norwich, Snetterton or Lotus, which is half a mile up the road.

We booked Old Thorn Barn on several recommendations from within the Lotus community, and were very happy with our choice. It is the nearest accommodation to the Lotus factory, where we had booked a factory tour. The booking process, through their own website, was simple, and responses were quick and helpful. Danny and Carol were great hosts, very friendly and welcoming, but also respecting our privacy. The accommodation, in a small outbuilding, was excellent. Very clean and comfortable, although we found the memory foam mattress a little soft for our taste. A good selection of tea, coffee, and biscuits was available in the room, and we also had access to a small communal kitchen with a microwave and fridge - useful for snacks and keeping the wine chilled! A small patio area was also available, ideal for relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine. We also made friends with a 20 year old furry local feline - Splodge the cat!||||Breakfast is cooked to order, and is superb. The locally made sausages are to die for! ||||There are two good pubs nearby serving evening meals, The World's End and the Bird in Hand (our favourite). Both are a short drive / taxi ride away; a little too far to walk and Norfolk country roads don't have pavements...||||We wouldn't hesitate to return in the future, and highly recommend the Old Thorn Barn.

We had a first class stay for a family get together. Excellent service breakfast & accommodation. Very friendly host. We can highly recommend staying here for a visit to Norwich & Norfolk the bedrooms were comfortable excellent facilities nothing forgotten. Specious dining room & lounge area.

Hi. I went to visit family in Norwich. We booked 3 nights, and it was comfortable ,relaxing, peaceful place to stay. The staff were wonderful and helpful if you needed anything, I will definitely be booking again on my next visit to Norwich. I highly recommend you try the old ford barn for your stay if your visiting the area. Also great value for your money, you can't go wrong at there prices. Budget price for a luxury rooms.

I can't recommend 'Old Thorn Barn' enough. Danny (the owner) is welcoming and friendly and the staff are likewise - big thanks to Julie for her infectious enthusiasm too ! ||||The rooms are lovely and the ambience is peaceful and mellow. Lots of Lotus related memorabilia which is good as so close to Hethel. ||||The breakfasts are magnificent too. Superb value and a huge recommend on every level.

Disappointing. The beds, the shower, the towels were not up to par. The heat was difficult to regulate, either too hot or too cold. The best things about the Old Thorn Barn were the price(reasonable) and the location(adjacent to the Lotus Factory). We’ll be looking elsewhere on our next visit to the area. Sorry!
