We had an absolutely lovely stay. The place is so beautiful; lovingly blending old world and new world in one rustic, cozy, elegant space. The owner was so sweet and helpful, giving us useful advice and even lending us a charger when we realized we had the wrong kind. She was always ready to help, and always with a smile on her face.

The rooms were clean, so comfortable, and the sprawling land left us completely charmed. It was perfect, and anyone who visits will fall in love with it right away.

I visited and stayed for business as I picked up a client from Gatwick. I stay in the area occasionally but I hadn't stayed here before. I was going to arrive late and leave early as is usual for me so I only really need a quite place, a comfortable bed and a shower. As I was arriving late, I was happy that the place was set up for this. I was allocated the "Bogart" room which is obviously themed for the actor (initially I thought of the Harry Potter spectre?) it was brilliant and really well thought out, by someone with an artistic eye and a mind for detail. I loved it, even though only there for a short time. The bed was comfy as well. The panel behind the bed looked like a black glass, but it's actually a window, so draw the curtains before retiring. Other than that, the ensuite is small but perfectly functional. The only suggestion would be to swap a plug for one with a USB socket other than that it was super

This is an honest review despite not actually staying at the residence.

Unfortunately our plans had to change for unseen circumstances ? and we were looking forward to staying here just from the previous reviews and also the fact that after booking, the gentleman I spoke to on the phone was very accommodating re allergies/pregnancy related requests etc ahead of our stay. To me that's what you call proper customer service! And on that basis if ever needing accommodation in Gatwick again, I will not hesitate to stay with Oldlands. Hope this establishment continues with their high standard of customer service ?
