Communication beforehand was excellent, and the welcome was a warm one. I genuinely felt the hosts were pleased to have me staying! The room is amazingly spacious and the opulent bathroom even more so. Very good value for money, even when including a light breakfast.||The house is elegant and very lived-in with a superb view across to the downs. It is in a peaceful and leafy neighbourhood within reasonable distance of all Lewes has to offer.||The bed was very comfortable and the unpresposessing kangaroo-like chair was even more so. Certainly a great way to round off a busy day. Best of all, there was no TV or radio to interrupt the tranquility, although there was plenty of relevant reading material if desired.||Any minor idiosyncrasies are not worthy of mention, and if there had been any major issues, I am sure the hosts would have been happy to discuss and resolve.

It is a beautiful spacious room in a lovely house and area. Beds were super comfortable.|Gorgeous spacious bathroom too .Didn't have breakfast as don't eat it. Easy walk into town, to castle, Anne of cleves house. Lovely cobbled roads, lots of shops with homemade bakery items, fresh fish, clothing, jewelry etc .|Jo it was lovely meeting you and letting us stay in your lovely home.|

We had a wonderful stay at Orchard B&B. The room was comfortable and spacious, with a spectacular view. Richard the host was very welcoming, and his veggie cooked breakfast was to die for. Highly recommended - I'd definitely come back again!

We came to Lewes for Guy Fawkes Night, and couldn't have felt more welcome. Rick explained everything we needed to know about the night (and there is a lot to know!), helped us find a place to park the car and took care of everything we asked for. ||||The place itself is quite spacious and pretty, in the perfect distance from the city center for the celebrations (and being able to fall asleep at the end of the night not near all the fire crackers). It should be noted that the bathroom door is transparent, but apart from that we couldn't find anything else bad during our whole stay. The breakfast was excellent and delivered straight to our room, and even their dog welcomed us with a happy smile!

I stayed in Orchard B&B for a week. Mij room was large with a very pleasant light atmosphere. The annex bathroom was large as well with both a bath and a shower. The street is quiet, which secured a good night's rest. The owners are very friendly. Breakfast is served in the room. Every morning they brought me a tray with home made bread, jam and butter, cereals, milk, juice, fruit and of course tea and/or coffee. Orchard B&B is in a charming 'old' building. From the B&B it is just a short walk to the centre of Lewes, a nice small town with a lot of shops and interesting cultural things to see. There are also beautiful walks in de nearby surroundings. I had a great time in Lewes.

A beautiful Victorian building with furniture to match, the room is large enough to accommodate a king size bed and a single comfortably, dining table and chairs large flat screen TV, fridge, toaster, kettle,tea, coffee. A big bathroom and large shower cubicle,all the usual requisets.(as l was staying out of season and long term, I did get an excerlent rate) Lovely friendly owners. Plenty of parking just across the road in a well lit car park, great value

A really lovely few days stay at Orchard Cottage, made so memorable by the hosts Richard and Jo, who were so thoughtful and helpful re recommendations both in and around Lewes. This charming B&B is ideally situated in a quiet road just a short walk from the high street and the many amenities close by.
