We had another fantastic dining experience here last night. Denys and Evie make us feel so welcome and had great recommendations for the food and wine. The dishes were delicious as always, especially the chicken schnitzel and Caesar salad. The bavette starter was perfect and the mackerel with apple and jalapeño was so good.
Try the cocktails too - especially the lemon drop with mascarpone!

We had another brilliant meal here today. The friendliest restaurant around and Denys and his team are so welcoming. We had Sunday lunch today - it was perfect. The meat (pork and sirloin) was tender and succulent with the best Yorkshire pudding I’ve ever had. Yummy!!

Had a beautiful meal here with family for my birthday. Has lovely ambiance and the food was delicious. Where they really surpassed all expectations though was with the service. I can't commend them enough for being so friendly, attentive and looking after our every need. Thanks for a great evening!

Good food but very slow in taking our order and bringing out the food. Pretty quiet for a Friday night but an enjoyable ambience. Staff were friendly and helpful so not really sure why there was such a long wait. Definitely worth a visit.

To be fair we don't usually eat out on a Sunday, however my son had a Sunday off and asked if I fancied going for lunch, yes please!
My son booked for 12:30 we arrived ten minutes early and the very nice young lady said "I can seat you but I can only take your order at 12:30". She asked if we'd like drinks while we looked at the menu, she brought drinks and we both ordered roast beef priced at £25 ; when it arrived it looked very nice though the beef was a little on the rare side. We were asked about salt and pepper, I asked for horseradish which duely arrived, we weren't quick enough to order drinks and no one came back to ask if we wanted drinks.
Someone on adjoining table actually sent their beef back because of how rare it was, it might have been nice for the front of house staff to actually say we serve the beef rare is that OK? We both agreed that every other element on the plate was excellent, seasoned beautifully and very tasty. Service wasn't very quick and when our plates were cleared we asked for the for desserts menu. This time when we ordered dessert we also ordered two coffees. My son ordered sticky toffee pudding and I ordered the rhubarb trifle. The sticky toffee pudding went down a treat. Though the other dessert was pleasant, it was a bit underwhelming sadly for £10
The sting in the tail was at 2pm after patchy service we were told we had five minutes before our table had to be vacated.
The bar missed out on our drinks order because we were never asked. I was shocked when a table got carried over my head while I was eating. I was so disappointed I've experienced better service in a garden centre which is really sad.
Would I go again 🤔 I'm honestly not sure. At just under £90 with no alcohol probably not.

We ate at Outlane Social for the first time last night. The food was excellent. I had a really generous portion of crab on sourdough, which was delicious, and then perfectly cooked monkfish. Our waitress, Amy, really made the evening for us though with really careful attention to detail and excellent, friendly service. One of our party cannot drink alcohol, and Amy went out of her way to make sure that she had something nice to drink - which to be honest, was much better service on this front than that provided by the manager or barman, who pretty much left us to it. She made our night, thanks Amy.

My family and I ate here to celebrate Mother's Day for my mother. We were a party of 6.
The food was very good. We all had a roast and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The desserts were also delicious.
Two things: Firstly, we were sat by a window with the sun blazing in, and for two of us, it was absolutely boiling. There are no blinds or curtains on the windows to block the sun out, which was quite uncomfortable.
Secondly, halfway through the meal there was live music playing which was so loud that we couldn't hear each other and had to shout across the table. This was extremely annoying and a pity as it was a Mother's Day celebration and it spoilt it for everyone. We asked Denys twice to ask the musician to please turn the amp down as we couldn't have a proper conversation, but nothing was done. This was very disappointing. The restaurant is quite expensive which is fine, but I at least expect to enjoy it without music blaring. It's not a pub. Perhaps the acoustics of the room are not suitable for an electric guitarist. Pity.
