This is our 2nd time staying at Overdale. It's a lovely guest house, run by a fab couple. Really clean & well kept, they take a lot of pride in the running of the property. We stayed in the Grimshaw Room at the back of the property, nice view of the garden. Bathroom had a shower cubicle & free standing bath, nice big bed. Small fridge, great for keeping water & drinks cold, kettle & tea/coffee & cookies. You can also order breakfast that's delivered to your room in a pretty basket.|Plenty of parking at the front of property, this is a bonus in Whitby, not many properties have working. |Only 10min walk in the town, plenty of bars, restaurants, beach is really nice. We had perfect weather, so we ventured up to the Abbey & walked along the harbour. We love Whitby & can't wait to come back next year. |

Just returned from out second stay at the Overdale Guest House. On arrival we were upgraded to the Ramsdale Room which was absolutely stunning and immaculate. Jayne and Keith are wonderful hosts who go over and above to ensure your stay is perfect. We can't wait to book our next stay in this stunning accommodation which is also in a great location, about a 5 minute walk into Whitby town centre.

Spotlessly clean. |My room on the first floor was large and tastefully decorated in keeping with the type of property. |They do not provide breakfasts but have just started providing a breakfast basket in your room. |It has private off road parking which is good. |It is just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Whitby.|Would I return, absolutely

Lovely stay at the Overdale. The room was very clean and tidy, with a comfy bed, and fridge. The bathroom was excellent, with huge bath and a separate shower. Free parking right in front of the premises. Overall I would stay here again, as it's clear Jane is making a lot of effort to ensure your stay is comfortable and stress free.

Flawless hotel: Lovely owners, charming, sparkling clean quiet rooms with everything you need. An absolute gem in a beautiful seaside town. Lots to do in the daytime, lovely beach, boat tours for the kids…meet everyone from Captain Cook to Dracula!

Beautifully maintained guest house in Whitby. Jayne was an ex ellent host, and went out of her way to ensure guest's comfort. Just a couple of issues. The parking was hit and miss. We were boxed on on our date of departure, and therefore got stuck in York traffic! Bed mattress was quite uneven and uncomfortable.

Excellent B&B in Whitby we stayed for 3 nights for the Regatta and I have to say the room we stayed in was excellent. Jayne was very welcoming with her partner it has its own carport which is always a bonus, plus super shower and lovely view over the garden. Will certainly stay here again, it has its own toiletries plus a great mini fridge which is cold. regards Les M 😎
