Happy to give 5 stars for the room & service. Recently attended a wedding which was fabulous
Unfortunately the biggest issue is the close proximity of Manchester Airport which resulted in considerable noise from the aircraft taking off as we appeared to be in the flight path for departures which the owners have no control over.

We attended a wedding and stayed in a lovely room but it was a bit small especially as we had booked a wheelchair accessible room. You couldn't get the wheelchair past the bed although the bathroom was huge it was lacking a grab rail close to the toilet. The breakfast was great and everywhere was clean and fresh.

Stayed for a couple of nights over half term. King room was lovely, coffee machine a welcome addition. The shower is powerful and a delight after a day in the sun.
The rooms aren't air conditioned so may be worth taking a fan if it's going to be hot for your stay.
The breakfast room is well appointed with everything you might need (ice machine was appreciated!).
Covid rules easily adhered to with no fuss.
The setting is lovely and the details in the finishings are top rate. Thoroughly recommend.

Room is modern, shower was lovely with great pressure and it was exactly what we needed for a 1 night stay. Some things to think about, double rooms mean double bed only (not king size) although I think they have another room category to book these I just didn't realise, and the site is very self service - bacon sandwiches and a buffet left out for breakfast in the morning and we couldn't find anyone to check out with so just left the key in the room (although the owner was very responsive by text). You can hear some plane noise but it didn't bother us at all. Great value for money and would definitely recommend for a quick break in the area.

The Tens' accommodation has been created in a former farmyard barn; this sits facing a still working barn which, during my visit, was occupied by a herd of cows. A walkway runs between these two barns which provides direct access to each individual bedroom and at the end of which is the breakfast room. || ||The rooms are comfortable and reasonably well equipped, but mine was not serviced during my two night stay. Breakfast was entirely self-service, the cooked part consisting of a bacon bap in a silvered paper bag which had been left in a warming oven in the room at some earlier time. The bacon bap each day was rather dry with a not overly generous helping of bacon. and the coffee was definitely not something to be written home about.||||All in all, pretty average with a poor breakfast, but the reason for my "Slightly strange" heading to this review is the evident desire of the owners to have absolutely zero contact with their guests; the day I was arriving I received a message saying I should text the owners when I arrived in the car park, then, when I did, I received a message back saying the key to my room was in the lock. Thereafter for the whole of my stay I didn't see a single person associated with the hotel, and had no further contact with them until the day I left, when I received a text telling me to leave my key in the lock.
