First rate food in lovely surroundings. Service was attentive but no invasive. Good prices too. The lunch menu was spot on. We will return to try the Afternoon Tea which also looked spectacular. Nice to have quality in Doncaster North. Thank you.

We went for Sunday lunch at Owston Hall today, and the food and service were excellent - the Best Sunday lunch I have had in ages, and very reasonably priced. The Restaurant was being run by the hotel Deputy GM, and Irish lady called Becky - she was superb as were her staff. Owston is definitely now our "go-to" spot for lunch or dinner when visiting family in the Doncaster area.

Had a pleasant stay here for one night. Room was very spacious and clean. Nice bathroom and lovely toiletries provided. Breakfast was good and not rushed. Expensive if you don’t get it as part of your room rate though. Impressive building and setting.

It was such as shame as this place could be incredible. A lovely location, easy to get to off the A1, and a fantastic building. And there is nothing glaringly wrong, it's just a bit rough around the edges. Key card locks but no key cards and a cardboard one wedged in door for power. The staff not unpleasant but also not friendly, eye got an eye roll for asking for a beer at 10pm. The breakfast is £18 but for that I got two bits of bacon, a mushroom, tomato, a hash brown, and a pretty poor sausage. I got beans also (which must be asked for separately for some reason). I would expect to pay £7 at a cafe for that. Our room had a smell of backed up drain. Our double bed was two singles pushed together.|Like I say, nothing awful, just for £125 but it is a step below Premier Inn. It's a shame because it could be so much better.

Our stay was going well until we were woken at 05.30 by an inconsiderate employee cutting the grass on the golf course putting green right outside our window on a large ride-on petrol mower. |Breakfast was very disappointing. When we went to the restaurant we didn’t see a member of staff for quite a while so we were hanging around but eventually one of the two staff members arrived. Owston Hall sent me 8 email messages confirming our booking but managed to ignore the one we sent to them requesting a vegetarian breakfast. We asked the server if vegetarian options were available and was informed she would ask and let us know. We didn’t see the server for a while after that and we needed to ask for milk for our tea, eventually we gave up and took milk from the next table as our drinks were getting cold. When our breakfasts arrived were delivered no mention of vegetarian options were made and our breakfast was just the normal one less meat. The quality was poor, the beans were almost cold, my fried eggs were overdone but my wife’s poached eggs were so underdone she couldn’t eat them. In summary the breakfast service was poor and so was the food quality.|We advised the receptionist when we left of these issues. She stated that she would pass them on to the relevant person. We did not receive any follow up from anyone.|We will not be returning to this hotel.

We stayed for one night in this hotel. We'd paid for bed, breakfast and a dinner allowance. The room was spotless, the bed and pillows ultra comfortable and the staff were lovely, especially the dinner head waiter, who went out of his way to help when my husband asked for Gaviscon ice cream for dessert(!) Ice cream served, with a side of a Gaviscon tablet. The dinner was really lovely too. The bacon and sausages at breakfast were also very anaemic looking - something your kitchen could easily remedy. Being picky, dressing gowns would have been a nice touch. All in all, a really lovely stay.

Hotel is a lovely setting.
Food was great and on the pricier side.
Bedroom was big and brilliant bathroom. The twin beds pushed together weren’t great as you could feel the gap.

Stunning location which if plans approved will become even better. Amazing rooms for meeting and networking. Tucked away nicely so it’s genuine peace and quiet.
