Nice clean room in a good location.
Manager was an excellent host, he made us feel very welcome and was very considerate.
If we went back to Accrington we would stay there again.

My boyfriend booked us a room here last Friday. The bed was super comfy, it was very clean, very friendly people and very reasonably priced. Couldn't fault it ?

We booked 4 rooms here for 2 nights for a family occasion happening nearby. John the landlord could not have been more helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The Castle does not serve food but John recommended a place for an evening meal (and booked a table for us) and also for breakfast, we were not disappointed with either of his recommendations, both were excellent. The rooms are quite basic but spotlessly clean with drink making facilities and even a couple of tubs of porridge.

Friendly pub. Rooms are fine, clean and comfortable. Decent priced beer and welcoming locals. Road noise a tad bit loud and beer delivery woke me up but hey, it's a pub. Plenty of free parking near by but if you'd like your car nearer there's a few spaces down the side of the premises.

Avoid at all costs!
The bed and mattress were years old, and as a result really uncomfortable! I had to sleep on top of the bed because the bedding appeared to have already been slept in!!!
The towels in the bathroom were stale and smelt.
I had no option other to stay here because I had to go to an evening meeting with a late finish, otherwise I would have checked into another hotel.

Generally very comfortable and straightforward. The only negatives are probably common complaints - there was no shampoo or soap or shower gel provided. Also, far too many CCTV cameras - one outside the main entrance would be fine but having multiple cameras in the corridors is always an unsettling and unwelcome sight in a hotel. Friendly and quirky staff. Recommended.
