Fantastic place for a quiet stay within a 25-minute walk of Oxford city centre. The accommodation is clean, spacious, and well-maintained, making it a truly relaxing retreat. We had to be up early in the morning, but the location was very quiet. Mandy who assisted us with check in was incredibly professional and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable experience. Highly recommend this gem.

I don't like leaving negative reviews but I felt I have to leave something. When I arrived, there was no sign identifying the name of the house, the house was completely dark with no lights on at all, which was not very welcoming. The owner had not replied to my earlier email regarding late check in, so I was worried it would be too late to check in at 21:00. There are no staff on site. The small single room is in the attic at the top, with a very low doorway to get in (mind your head!). The room is nice enough, but the bathroom bin had not been emptied and was full of used sanitary products from previous guests. There was no bathmat. The room was cold, and there was evidence of damp on the wall next to the bed. At 8am in the morning a stranger knocked on my door.
On a positive note, after emailing the owner about this she did reply and was apologetic and amended the bin and bathmat issues. Unfortunately I am still waiting to hear about any compensation that was initially offered. Therefore, I cannot unfortunately recommend staying here until these things are sorted out.

I would have rated the place higher if customer service was better. We had a power-cut and was informed it be sorted out in a couple of hours. We didn't have any heating, lights, WIFI, tv for the remainder of our stay. It was freezing old and we had to use our phone torches lights and eventually our phones dies as we had no electricity . As I understood it was a power-cut the next day I tried to talk to the owners for some compensation as I have still used their bed and shower so wasn't expecting a refund or anything. No communication whatsoever since we left and have been chasing them for weeks now. Hence why the low rating as I would have given better rating but customer services isn't great. The location and room are a good size shame about the communication.

Stayed in Room 6 which is a single with en suite shower. It was perfect for a nights stay, and over looks the rear of the property so it's quiet, can recommend for solo travellers. The keyless entry worked OK but I was given the wrong over email, didn't have to wait too long to get it resolved but something that's easy to fix for the management team.

First up: do not, under any circumstances, book a room here. ||Booked a Saturday and Sunday for a friend’s thirtieth. Checked in and unpacked, then another couple showed up for the same room. Turns out the hotel had cancelled our room without telling us (but, notably, AFTER charging us) and then required us to leave our event, come back, pack up all our stuff, and move out, (or “we will take your things and throw them out on the street”).
The manager on the phone was unable to explain what had happened, couldn’t access the back-end system, and eventually decided that it was our fault that we’d mistyped an email address (an error on our end BUT we had been in text contact throughout the preceding week and they hadn’t bothered to tell us we no longer had a reservation), and then later that we hadn’t clicked “confirm” on an email we never got. Side note: I’ve worked in hotels for years; this explanation is nonsense; and even if it wasn’t - if you thought we’d cancelled, why did you still charge us for the room? I guess this is what happens when you don’t actually have any staff on the premises to sort out issues. ||As it was, after booking and paying for a room months ago, we were left stranded in the middle of Oxford with nowhere to stay. No apology from the hotel and it took two weeks of both of us dealing with increasingly hostile management before getting our room refunded. Minus a tenner they kept for themselves to pay for “the diary management’s company’s admin fee” - again, I worked in the industry, we all know that this is nonsense, Eviivo OBVIOUSLY don’t charge admin fees per email, but I guess they fancied helping themselves to an extra £10 for all their hard work in not hosting us. Just really small-time behaviour all round. ||It’s a shame because the room itself looked nice but I would recommend that you only book this place if you’re fine with not actually being allowed to stay in it.

It wasn't great and definitely not 3 stars. The room was recently renovated and modern. However, the room was filled with a rancid smell of smoke, despite it being a non-smoking property. The mattress and duvet were not clean. As there were no staff on site, it was difficult to get an immediate resolution.

This is my second stay and I will keep coming back. The house is immaculate, the kitchen is fully equipped with complimentary hot drinks. The buses into the city stop just outside, and the walk into the centre is mostly flat My go to option when I stay over in Oxford.

I met my partner when she was living in East Oxford and this offered the perfect opportunity to go back for a night, with an excellent location on Iffley Road and in easy walking distance of Cowley Road and the city centre.||||The room was comfortable, with good facilities and a nice shower. The communal kitchen was also really handy (with complimentary tea and coffee) and, although it was too cold to sit in, the conservatory and garden looked great too.||||Unfortunately it did not appear that our room had been cleaned. The bed wasn't made, one of the towels was used and flung on a radiator in the bathroom, and there was hair all over the bathroom floor.||||This didn't cause us any great problems but it is not what you expect when you pay to stay somewhere. I certainly would have rated this a 5-star stay if the cleanliness had matched the quality of everything else.
