The OYO is good value: the room was inexpensive, clean, spacious, quite well equipped and inexpensive - though an extra £20 is charged for a dog. One bed was more comfortable than the other. Service was OK: a little off-hand. The location on the southbound carriageway of the A46 can make access complicated, but an excellent Indian restaurant adjoining helps to compensate - no breakfast though!

Booked late, and was the cheapest hotel for the night (£65), if it wasn't so late and having a very tired wife and 2 year old, I would of walked straight back out again.

The rooms hit you with the thick smell of damp/mould when you walked in, the bed was clean but everywhere else needed a good scrub.
It was so bad, that any clothes left out carried the smell with them.

Also the lock on the door only just caught the latch, and could of easily been pryed open.

If you can really avoid staying here I would, just pay the extra £20 and stay up the road, also, do not trust the photos online, the rooms are very, very dated since them photos was taken.

The rooms are a good size. Plenty of brew kit. The desk was a good size for laptop use.
The road noise diminishes in the night so didn't hinder sleep. If possible you might request a room at the rear of the hotel.
Staff were friendly and helpful enough but the cleaners need to up their game a bit in the bathroom. The Booking.com ratings were pretty accurate.
I put the post code into Garmin and ended up further south on the A46 so had to loop around so you might be better off with Google maps.

(PHOTO PROOF) ABSOLUTELY VILE!!!!
BLOOD STAINS on our pillows, DIRTY BEDDING! Yellow stains all over it! The room smelt really really bad! That was the main reason we checked the bedding when we got in the room! Hairs or the bedding! The reception guy was un helpful and rude! We asked for a new room but he claimed the hotel was full even though there was only around 4/5 cars in the car park! AND WE STILL HAVEN'T HAD A REFUND!! DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL!!!!

Dirty, smelly.|Bedding and towels were dirty, whole place smelt of curry from takeaway next door and weed being smoked.|Whole place needs and overhaul.. it is a budget hotel but I still expect cleanliness..there is no excuse. |Did not sleep well as itchy..had to sleep in other.. decorating was rough and furnished were old and well past their usefulness date

Very nice countryside location. Room same standard as say, Travelodge. Free tea, coffee and kettle suplied.
Adequate tv size. Very nice staff and loads of parking.
Indian restaurant next door.
A very relaxing couple of nights.

Good value dog friendly motel.
Not the cleanest though, skirting boards beside the bed were filthy, coffee dribble on the wall and dust and debris behind bathroom door. I didn’t go looking for dirt. But was unashamedly just there.
However, bedding was clean as was bath and toilet. What made up for that though was the reception staff, who couldn’t have been more helpful. I put 3star for location but that couldn’t be helped, I had no choice as was last minute booking. But, if you’re just looking for somewhere to rest your head and get on your way it does the job.
