It's a safe place to pass the night under a roof. But if you're looking beyond the aforementioned, you'd be disappointed. For a £52 room(no VAT incl.), I'd expect a clean floor carpet, a chair and table to at-least work on a PC. I will also expect a small fridge to chill my drinks. I know microwave might be too much luxury but I've been to a £42 room with fridge, microwave, and a proper table. Oh, forgot to mention how hot the room got.

Ruby was excellent at looking after us and the bar area. Good position for access into Huddersfield. The rooms were pleasant, extremely warm, but unfortunately the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The shower looked grubby and the basin tap moved when turned on, the hot water was scalding hot. Unfortunately the manager was not on site to speak to.

Location a bit misleading at it’s quite a trek from central Huddersfield. Small but friendly, traditional pub. Food was nice but a bit limited menu. What was a surprise was the bedroom that was a really comfortable and well appointed. Bit of a climb up the stairs from the main bar, but well worth the effort. Leaving at the crack of dawn, had to use the fire escape as rather main building was locked up! Very good value for money overall.

I went to the croppers today and I've been a customer for many years 30 or more but I havnt been eating out for the last couple of years due to mouth cancer it was my sons birthday I said I'd treat him anywhere he wanted to go he said I'd like to go to the croppers so we went today the young lady behind the bar is an asset to your business nothing any trouble my son was longing for the steak pie of years gone by I opted for a small version it came it wasn't anything like we used to have either of them I didn't eat mine but my son did I can only say we were very disappointed all round apart from the lady serving it wasn't a pleasant experience im sorry to say I won't be back

Me and my partner are currently staying here for a few days while in-between moving dates. I'll admit we didn't have high hopes and it was just a place to stay until our new place was available but The Croppers Arms charm has gotten us both. The rooms are clean and tidy and cosy, the beds are comfortable. The pub itself is very nice. It has a very welcoming atmosphere and the regulars and staff have been polite and friendly. The staff are lovely and make you feel welcomed, even with all our questions and a crying baby. They helped us with getting the pram into our room and knowing times for everything. Excellent customer service. The prices are good for both food and drinks and their beer garden is wonderful when lit up at nice. They are child friendly too. They didn't have a cot available however this was through no fault of their own and didn't impact us too badly as we have a travel cot. Overall a very nice establishment with a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and great prices. The venue is only around a 15 minute walk from the town centre and just a couple minutes from gree head park. There are many local amenities basically right outside the front door, not far to walk for anything we've needed. We will definitely be visiting again! 😊

Small traditional pub with 4 rooms above. Pub has decent beer and surprisingly good food. Rooms are comfortable and a decent size. My bathroom could use an update, but everything worked and it was clean. There was a bit of noise from the pub until 11 but not too bad. There wasn't any traffic noise because of effective secondary glazing but I suspect might be noisy in the summer with the windows open. Would def stay again.

No breakfast but strongly recommend Bexs cafe just down the road (150yds).

Very good, a delicate small cozy room located on the upper floor of a little pub without noise. When I arrive late the waitress lady lead me up to the room. Warm & cozy & clean& quiet.

I had lunch with my wife, the pub is close to the hospital. The menu wouldn't be too bad, but unfortunately when we went, The following were not available:
-Hamburger
-All meats on the list of specials (Rump, Sirloin, Ryb-eye)
-You couldn't order coffee (the coffee machine was broken, so the kind waitress told us).
One last thing, the menu is made up of 85% food prepared in the fryer, I would recommend using other cooking methods ...
The pub is very nice and cozy, there is not a large selection of beer, but the ones they do have are ok!
We'll give them another chance in the future...
