We had a wonderful stay at Paradise Lakeside Lodges at the beginning of October. It is a lovely site and so serene, it was definitely the relaxing break we needed! ||The lodges are cosy and comfortable, it really felt like a home-from-home. The hot tub was a lovely addition to the stay and we really enjoyed using it during the evening as the sun was setting.| |We woke up to a frost on the last morning of our stay which added even more to the beauty of the site! ||I would definitely recommend staying here and we plan on returning in the future. It is conveniently located for attractions in the surrounding area, and very easy to get to the Grimston Bar Park & Ride for York.

Stayed here for the first time last month, the Lodge was amazing, everything you needed in the kitchen , lovely size Rooms, comfy bed, great shower, hot tub was fab, hubby enjoyed the fishing, |There is a hut you go to on arrival to collect your key, very friendly staff, parking out side your lodge, it’s a family run business, we spoke to one of the brothers who checked the hot tub every morning, chatted to him for ages, lovely lad, didn’t get his name sorry. |Would definitely recommend, and most definitely will be going back nothing to fault, maybe a welcome pack . |And Towels for Hot tub, but we took our own so no big deal.

15miles or so from York centre, 12 lodges and 15 or so pods in woodland setting. 10 of the lodges face on to a lake which is well used for fishing, all lodges have hot tubs. Lodges are well kept, tidy and clean, Plenty to do nearby. Bring some wild bird seed with you on a visit for the ducks, they will thank you for it.

Had a wonderful time at Paradise Lakeside lodges. The lodge was perfectly clean and the surroundings beautiful. |The team onsite were very helpful and informative on the local area and transport links into York.|Some nice relaxing evenings in the hot tub listening to the sounds of nature.

We originally planned just a short two-day break in York, but after discovering these lodges, we decided to extend our stay from Monday to Friday—and we’re so glad we did. It turned out to be a wonderfully relaxing getaway. My husband and son spent much of their time fishing, while my daughter and granddaughter enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and taking in the beautiful surroundings. The lodges were spotless and fully equipped, featuring a large fridge freezer and a dishwasher. There was even a separate outdoor storage area to keep fishing gear safe and secure.||The site had plenty to keep the kids entertained, with activities nearby and a small playground just a short walk away. The pods, located in a separate area around another lake, looked absolutely stunning. They were beautifully arranged with ground lights that created a surreal atmosphere in the evening.||The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. The location is convenient too, with Asda just a 20-minute drive away and York Maze not far either. ||A big thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

Never slept in a pod but this was lovely. Nice and clean. Well equipped. So quiet and peaceful. Great to use has a base.|Loved watching the ducks, chickens and moorhens wonder around. |2 decent size fishing pond but need a licence|Staff lovely, helpful and friendly

We loved our stay in our cute little pod. Very peaceful lakeside setting. Our boys loved playing with the swing ball and giant connect 4. Staff are very friendly. A later check out would be good, 9am is very early! York is about half an hour away in the car.

It was ok, we knew it was a quiet site and it was. Hubby went for the fishing and my granddaughter and me used as a base to explore York and the surrounding areas. The site was clean and tidy with a few things for the kids to do. Couple of moans, the lodges are dated, more dated than I thought. I’m glad I took my own pillows!!!! The settee needed replacing it was so worn you needed dropped through it. We also asked for an earlier check in than 4 and I was told 3 via email. Although we aimed for 3 we did arrive earlier and were greeted by Jonny who was quite rude on our arrival not giving us time to explain why we were early, he stated we couldn’t even stop on site till check in time as the site wasn’t insured for that!! WOW ( I didn’t believe that one) I mentioned that we had recieved a note to state we could check in earlier but Jonny was having none of it, being short staffed and no cleaner’s etc ( to be honest I wasn’t interested I was on a weeks holiday from work) !!! He said if we came back at 3.45pm he would see what he could do. We arrived back at 3.55pm not wanting to be turned away again and there were loads of holiday makers already checked in……lols. First impressions really count! All in all I rated it a 2/5, I wouldn’t go again, my hubby said he enjoyed the fishing and that’s what the place is for. I suppose the word Paradise makes you think that maybe it will be!! BTW it’s true that most of the staff on site are fab.
