Rooms a little tired and dated, exterior of hotel pretty run down but the staff were the excellent. The reception staff were superb and Grace the lovely waitress who served breakfast really are the most wonderful asset. This hotel is superbly located and the food was great but its a very tired looking hotel.

The hotel was perfectly acceptable for the money clean and tidy with friendly staff. A good breakfast and very good location. Was noisy at night but that’s not the hotels fault and closing the window did help. Only thing that would stop me returning is Bournemouth itself.

A very conveniently situated hotel, just a minutes walk from the beach and lovely green park in the town. Parking access was in a multi-storey carpark immediately opposite the hotel which was very convenient. ||The room had a great view of the pier and sea view. It was a nice spacious room and clean, but I'm not sure I would call it luxurious. Maybe 20 years ago it was a luxury hotel, just needs a bit of a refresh of furnishings etc and freshen up of decor. It was clean though and the restaurant was alot more modern and fresh. All staff in the hotel and restauraunt, were very lovely, patient and super helpful, a real asset to the hotel, as even when very busy the receptionist that checked us in was smiling and upbeat. ||If you need an extra bed for your child, ask for a room with a sofa bed, as the pull out bed for our 12 year old son was not adequate for his size at all and very uncomfortable, so he ended up sharing the double bed and my husband had to sleep on the floor, so the sleeping arrangements were not great. The pull out beds would be fine for a child up to 5/6 years old I reckon. ||My son, like alot of kids, is always looking at insects etc and found a couple of syringes under the bushes immediately at the front of the hotel and I did have to remind the hotel staff a second time the next morning, that they were still there and they needed to remove them, that wasn't nice. But no issues inside the hotel.

An aging property amongst more modern hotels, but was surprisingly delightful. The staff, both in the hotel and in the adjacent restaurant were consistently helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Room service Sandwiches served on the balcony as we had a grandstand view of the Bournemouth Air Show, help with my disabled parking, offering a choice of rooms to suit me. I would definitely recommend trying this hotel as the service and quality are more than expected. I will definitely return.

This hotel is by far the best we’ve ever been to. Arrived here for our honeymoon and was given the most beautiful room ! The staff were delightful and so helpful. |Not to mention the Crab restaurant was absolutely Devine. |Would DEFINITELY come back here.

Charming hotel in an excellent location opposite the pier and an easy walk to the lovely sandy beach. It's a good (flat!) walk along the beach to Sandbanks. Parts of the beach are dog friendly and other parts dogs are banned so good for everyone! There are bus stops close by too, for local buses or open top tours to Poole etc. The staff are all so friendly, helpful and efficient . The hotel is clean and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent and particularly well known for its fish dishes . Breakfast is very good and you can park opposite. It's also an approximate ten minute walk to town. It's next to the lovely gardens too.

This is not a 4 * hotel. All furnishing, decoration very tired and worn out. Pillows and bedding thin and I woke up with back ache as the mattress was old and lumpy. Do not understand how this has got good reviews. The hotel car park as advertised is the multi storey opposite. Would not have booked if this had been explained properly

We booked a three-night stay at this four-star hotel through Booking.com, but we only lasted one hour before making a quick escape. The bathroom had two spiders as unwelcome roommates, the room smelled so bad we could hardly breathe, and there was no air conditioning. The decor was so outdated that it felt like we’d stepped back in time. Despite all of this, they are still saying they will charge us for two nights, even though we didn’t stay. We’re currently waiting for Booking.com to step in and see if they can get the hotel to refund us for the two unused nights—honestly, we’d be fine if they just charged us for the one hour we endured! This place is nowhere near a four-star experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
