I really wanted to share how happy we were with everything at Park House Hotel for our daughter’s pre-wedding party.||From the start, the planning process was made so easy thanks to Tawry-Kate and Julie. They were both incredibly helpful and always quick to respond to any questions we had. They made us feel supported and really listened to what we wanted for the event, which made a huge difference.||On the actual day, Milda was simply outstanding. She was calm, professional, and had such a reassuring presence. Nothing was too much trouble; she was always one step ahead and made sure everything ran smoothly. It was such a relief knowing she had everything in hand.||Later in the evening, the handover to Emma was smooth and well-managed. She saw things through with the same level of care and attention, which really helped us enjoy the rest of the night without any stress.||We’re genuinely so grateful to the whole team for helping us create such a special night for our daughter and our family. Thank you again!||I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone planning a special event

Attended a private function at the hotel yesterday . The hotel is a lovely venue with ample parking, beautiful function room and pretty well maintained grounds. The staff were friendly and efficient and the buffet lunch tasty and plentiful. I would highly recommend this venue when considering booking for events.

I spent all day here at a wedding. The service was attentive with professional staff who were evidently kind people and well trained. The food was excellent, starters, main course and desert were tasty and well presented. Lovely venue also, evidently well operated.

I came and stayed for a family wedding, the wedding was amazing in an amazing place, Tawry made sure we were all in the right place at the right time with complete discretion and a smile, she answered any questions and she did anything in her power to accommodate the happy couple and their guests. We stayed over in a spacious, clean room with the most comfortable bed, we had everything we needed . All the staff were friendly and happy to help. Breakfast came out and stayed hot and there was something for everyone. I felt comfortable and relaxed and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

The rooms, service and location were good but the food was of average quality. The Staff were helpful & attentive. Good quality of ales/lagers. Couldn't open the window in the room so the room was very warm at night.

This is our 2nd visit to this hotel, first visit in 2024 when renovations were ongoing, despite that we had a pleasant stay - sadly that was not the case this year!!!||I pre paid for a room directly on the website for £144 1 night room only, 2 adults and 1 child (9yr). I asked in the comments for a foldaway bed. When the room selection came up all that was available was an executive suite, which we stayed I. Previously so I know this a large room with separate area with a desk and large bathroom. Plenty of space for additional beds.||With the confirmation email the following small print is included:||“Children and extra beds|Free! All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing beds.|All children under 2 years are free of charge if requesting cots/cribs.|All older children are charged GBP 25 per person per night for extra beds.|The maximum number of extra beds in a room is 2.|The maximum number of children's cots/cribs in a room is 1.|Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management.”||My interpretation of the above is as my daughter is 9 I would NOT be charged for the foldaway bed. However, upon our arrival we were charged £25 for the bed, I challenged this with the receptionist who was particularly grumpy and just said that’s the charge, you need to pay it. Children only fee if they sleep in the king bed with the parents - but considering there are no 3 bed rooms then guests will always end up paying the £25 as many parents are not going to share a bed with their 9yo child!|RECOMMENDATION FOR MANAGEMENT- add a sofa bed to all exec suites - then you don’t need the Z bed and can adjust the room depending on number of guests. Charge for the room not the number of guests!||The room itself was very tired and certainly not the standard I’d expect for price paid. I’ve included photos of carpet stains, mould on windows and dirty bathroom grout. The hotel has had over £1m investment in renovations, clearly not on the rooms! However when you enter function rooms and communal areas such as bar and downstairs toilets you can see where the money was spent.||RECOMMENDATION FOR MANAGEMENT - please update the guest bedrooms to the same standard as function rooms. You will need to spend some money - some windows need replacement as the mould has penetrated the wood. New bathroom suites and new carpets.||Breakfast is not included and is charged at £12.95 for adult and £7.95 for child. Usually a hot buffet with some items such as fried or poached eggs cooked to order but today I can only assume to lack of guests all had to be cooked to order. We all went for cooked breakfasts with my wife and daughter wanting scrambled eggs and fried eggs for me. The breakfast arrived very hot, great fresh I thought! NO - sausages were clearly pre cooked and reheated, my fried egg were over cooked and rubbery no runny yolk. I had been given bacon despite asking for none. My wife and daughter did not get their scrambled eggs as they ran out of scrambled eggs- but have eggs - I’m no chef but it’s not hard to scramble some eggs up fresh. Clearly none of this is cooked fresh so they can’t do stuff to order - please don’t claim something is cooked to order when it’s not!|We also wanted tea and coffee but there was no cups, when we ask for some we were given paper cups as all their best china was in the function room for a private party - the waiter might as well have said “our function guests are more important than our hotel guests”.||Upon check out I was ready to be asked the most important question a hotel front of house staff member can ask - “how was your stay?”||She did not, just said goodbye to me, leaving me option but to write this review.||RECOMMENDATION FOR MANAGEMENT - always ask every guest without fail how their stay was, this is your opportunity to gain valuable actionable feedback. Please please please don’t leave generic reply to this review - we stayed in room 33 night of 23rd May so you will have my email. Send me a message and we can discuss my feedback. I’d like you to succeed but you need to make some improvements to your product offering.
