We recently returned back from our first camping trip as a family of 5, with 3 young children. We were given a lovely pitch which was of a very large size to accommodate 2 cars and a large 6 berth tent. The campsite was perfect, nice and small which was great for us. The new playground which was a definite hit kept our children entertained for the whole stay. The grounds were kept very clean and looked after. The shower and toilet blocks were a little dated and in need of an update but great facilities as a whole. The beautiful village of Lacock was under a 5 minute walk away and a small drive to other amenities. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely return. The campsite had a lovely welcoming feeling and the children absolutely loved it, as did we!

Liked: Everything. Good hard standing with grass. Plenty of room. Quiet location but still near to main road so no tiny tracks. Good facilities with good shower blocks, I don't see why some moan about facilities as they are fine, it's a campsite not a five star hotel. Bonus points for us that although busy there were no kids on site lol. Rubbish area, elsan all clean etc. very dog friendly with a large safe dog walking field. Thanks.

Liked: Lovely countryside and beautiful views. Nice playground for the kids and they felt safe to explore the site.

Disliked: Shower block but in fairness it is being revamped in the new year so it should be all shiny for the 2025 season

Liked: We loved the location of the campsite. It was easily walkable to Lacock village which is lovely.
The campsite appears very well maintained with two toilet blocks. One is abit dated, but we believe its due to be refurbished for next season. They were both always well stocked with loo paper and soap. There was always plenty of hot water for the showers.
The washing up area is all under cover, again with plenty of hot water.
We liked the fact there was wardens living on site, they were a nice couple, always helpful and approachable with a beautiful dog.
We were also lucky enough to meet the owners of the site, they too were very nice.

Disliked: There wasn't really any dislikes for us, although we would have liked to have been able to use our firepit.

Nice site, lots of footpaths, adequate toilet/shower blocks but nowhere to have a wet shave in private.

One big negative is that there were noisy kids running around the site on go carts. I wait to book sites for when the school holidays are over. I think the kids, lovely as they may be, are something to do with the people running the site. As a writer, I hoped for absolute peace and quiet: I didn't get it. I know I was not alone in my thinking.

Liked: The park was peaceful and spacious.
Good sized pitches and we werenโ€™t on top of each other. The kids park was great too. We were originally allocated pitch 35 which was at the entrance of the site but we phoned on the day of arrival and asked if there was any possibility to be moved closer to the park as we had young kids. They moved us to 42 without hesitation and this really made our stay as the children could play in the park while we kept an eye on them from the pitch. This bottom field (41-46) was the perfect location for families, near to the park and the toilet/shower block. The facilities were cleaned thoroughly every day and toilet paper/hand towels always full. I wish all sites were run as perfectly as this one, would 100% stay again and wouldnโ€™t hesitate to recommend.

A fantastic small campsite located really close to the stunning village of Lacock and Lacock abbey.
The site itself is really well laid out and pitches are well spaced with all amenities really close. Surrounded by established hedges and with lots of established trees it felt private and sheltered with plenty of shade. The facilities are good and were always clean. There's a lovely play area that my daughter spent as much time as she could at. Make sure to check the welcome/information pack via the QR codes, lots of useful information and a site map to make life easier. We also spent a night in one of the glamping bell tents as we had decided to stay longer and our pitch was booked up, which was really nice and had everything you would need for a good stay, convenient if you don't want to drag all your own stuff with you.
The wardens were lovely, around if you wanted them but far from hovering about.
I was really happy with the price for how good the site was, and the staff were friendly and extremely accommodating.
The village is only a 5/10 minute walk (at the pace of a 5 year old) and is absolutely stunning and has some lovely little shops as well as a couple of fantastic pubs which served excellent food at a really really good price. Although quite expensive the abbey is worth a visit. There's loads to do just a short drive away too, Bowood house is definitely worth a visit although I would advise taking your own lunch, very little was left available and what was available was disappointing for the price.

A lovely gem of a site close to a busy village renowned for filming some scenes from Harry Potter. Shower blocks and site in general were clean and tidy. We have a big caravan but found it easy to park in the allocated pitch. Knowing the pitch number the day before arrival helped enormously. When we were half way home we thought we might have lost our keys. They checked the pitch for us while I was on the phone and promised to let us know if they had been handed in. Then we found we had them all the time. Would highly recommend!
