The only thing good about this place was the location. No parking provided (others places we have stayed in have scratchcards available). It was meant to be an executive double and there was nothing executive about it. Extentions for the kettle that was dangerously short. Only one window opened and had no lock. Furniture was budget. Bathroom cabinet had one door. Double bed was 2 zipped singles, mattresses were dirty and single sheets were still used so kept popping off throughout the night. Property was very busy and the main door banged every time,our room backed onto to it so very noisy.

Pier 61 is a fantastic location for the pier and it is easy to walk either our to St Leonard’s or into the Old Town. |We paid for the bathroom to be within the room which was well worth the money. |The room was small but clean and nice enough, tea and coffee provided and shampoo etc in the bathroom. |No noise during the night which was good, the only downside was the lack of breakfast but plenty of places nearby which are lovely. |It didn’t cost a fortune and it was nice enough - if you want somewhere for a romantic night away I’d book somewhere else, if you want somewhere to get your head down this is okay.

Lovely location 5 minutes walk into town checked in early at no extra cost which was great...paid for a double room with private bathroom but the bed was 2 singles pushed together and the bedding was very dated. Even though by the sea and open windows the room was stifling and so hot. TV in room had no signal. Got what we paid for and loved hastings just may choose different next time

We booked superior double room with sea view. When we arrived we had 2 single beds pushed together. We under the impression breakfast was included as we had paid £60.00 for a basic room. To be told it wasn’t. We are asked about parking, we were advised we can’t park outside, we asked where we could park, was told ‘I don’t know’. We were unable to understand the lady. We put our things in the room, had trouble locking the door. Later in the evening we returned. The hallway outside our room was very warm. No heating on in our room. We couldn’t see a heater or radiator. We pulled the dressing table away from the wall and discovered the radiator. The quilts on the bed were summer quilts. (It is November and cold). I closed the curtains, which nearly fell down. Tiles in the bathroom were cracked. Hot water tap on hand basin swivelled round when you turned it on. On leaving next day, there wasn’t anyone around to leave the keys with. We left them in the kitchen, and text the lady telling her where she will find them.

Firstly don’t expect much. ||Room Service in the description means towel change / tea/coffee ||No kitchen for guest use. Asked owner got no reply. Takeaway food not allowed on premises. And yes the other reviews were right. The building has full time tenants. ||||Also when checking in call owner/ number on booking. No reception or office to speak of. ||Said office is actually laundry room where non English speaker does the towels. ||||||||Room was en-suite on the ground floor ||V. Hot windows left open even when we were out. . ||||Shower handle broken got soaked first evening turning tap on. ||||The fantastic thing about this was walking out and seeing the beach. For the price and location you’d expect more and this was Snr it. ||||Hastings beach town and restaurants made up for it. We enjoyed the 4 days sightseeing and being on the beach.

This Building has full time tenants living in it!||AS soon as Walked into the building there was no reception or receptionist and we had to rely on phone calling to ask things! ||When shown the 1st room is Smelt outside in the corridor and the 1st room was disgusting for the smell where my Friend and son stayed My corridor outside my room smelt of Alcohol My Room had Ants crawling all over the table with Tea coffee etc The Window had no lock that worked to secure the room at all!||Having to close the window to try to shut the noise out my room also my room smelt of I am not sure It was very noisy all through the night with Traffic, and upstairs it sounded like someone was throwing something very heavy on their floor that thought they may come thought the ceiling on top of me it was that bad that I had to take a sleeping pill which I never do unless very desperate ||Room Service in the description means towel change / tea/coffee No kitchen for guest use. ||The man at the end of the phone was helpful and would come out to us within 10 minutes or so... So I suppose we were lucky ||Would Never stay there again

Would definitely not recommend this guest house. Two single beds put together. Tiny bathroom smelt of Cigarettes. People lived in upstairs would not close front door loads of cigarettes ends outside front door. Very poor accommodation. No reception it was more like a hostel. Worse place stayed in . We were suppose to Stay fiveghts left after one.

Last minute booking was easy and straight forward. We booked a room with options for 2 single or a double bed by the time we got there we had no option to choose and received a room with 2 single bed pushed together still had sea view through a dirty window with "I see you" written on the dirt on the ground floor window.
