We visited on a glorious Spring day so could take advantage of the Pier Hotel's sunny position and enjoy a drink outside soaking up the sun. We moved inside to eat and was spoilt for choice from the extensive menu. We chose fish and chips and lasagne, both were excellent. Piping hot, generous and nicely presented. The service was fast and friendly. The interior of the hotel is pleasant, light and clean. We would thoroughly recommend.

I have visited The Pier many times over the years just to have a bit of lunch, sitting out looking out to see. Always found the staff extremely friendly and efficient. This time we stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and were so impressed with everything about the place. Loved the decor, and we had an excellent view. Our breakfasts were delicious and again the staff were so helpful and efficient. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to all my friends. Gorleston is a very pleasant place to wander around and walking along the prom is a wonderful experience whilst looking out to sea.

5 star hotel for 3 star price |Unbelievable. Someone has put alot of work into this establishment. I am fairly well travelled and never have I had a whirlpool bath with a TV ... But some rooms not all have this at this hotel. I was blown away by the decor the beach view which is as good as somewhere like Burgh island hotel which charges about 6 times as much. The service also is worthy and of similar standard, how many times have I checked into a cold room when I'm working away at national chains and no one has bothered to check the heater had been put on. Join check in, it was the first thing the lady mentioned Nd made sure not only would it be sorted but that someone would also carry my bags for me.... I honestly thought I was back at The Savoy London..... Evening meal was good , it was not very busy , so I wouldnt have expected service to be an issue and it wasn't. Food was not overly fussy but good standard. To sum up .... Just book this hotel !

We only stayed for one night in room 106 but would stay again as it was a very comfortable stay.|There are just a couple of issues that would’ve made it a perfect stay rather than a nice stay. The room was small but clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and warm. The bathroom had a smell of drains about it and we couldn’t get the TV to come on so some instructions for that would have been handy. We ate in the bar at lunch time – I had the veggie burger which was tasty but for the price you pay, I’d expect a bit more of a salad with it. My partner had the shepherds pie which looked amazing and home cooked. I had a wine and my partner had Doom bar on tap but they didn’t taste great – wine tasted cheap.|Breakfast was ok but nothing special really – and slow to top up things like the bread and bowls of fruit. Would’ve preferred tinned tomatoes and button mushrooms rather than half a large portabella mushroom.|The carpet on the stairs was a bit grubby and could’ve done with a vacuum but it wasn’t done in the time we were there. |All of the staff were really nice and the position of the hotel right next to the beach can’t be any better.

A great restaurant on the pier- the staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent; we had fish and chips, steak and ale pie and skate wing - all very fresh and cooked…. Be sure to go outside and watch the waves furiously slapping on the pier- it is a sight to behold. The beach is long and wide. Highly recommended.

I booked a party of 15 friends in for a pre theatre meal in their restaurant having pre ordered from the Christmas Fayre menu. The feedback from my friends following our visit was very good. Everyone commented on how good the quality and quantity of the food served to us was. It was hot and very tasty and despite so many orders at one time, it was all served together. They had a system of our place names with details of our individual orders put at our seats so that the correct order went immediately to the correct person. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and attentive without being over bearing. Our thanks to all the staff at the hotel, including the kitchen staff, for making our evening so enjoyable. I highly recommend the restaurant at this hotel.

Just had another very successful stay in the Pier. As usual everything was perfect. Room excellent with sea view. Location, food and staff all very high standard. We would highly recommend and will obviously be coming again. John and Wendy

We went here for breakfast, it was a good choice of food at reasonable prices, service was efficient and friendy. Would recommend it. (Cannot rate rooms as did not stay here).
