We booked here for my husband's birthday. I can not find fault in anyway. It is a lovely, accessible resort. ||It was Boxing day when we arrived, so probably a little quieter than usual. ||We used the pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The leisure facilities were very clean and well maintained. ||Our lodge was perfect. The kitchen was well equipped and we were even left filter coffee and all essentials including dishwasher tablets.||The Lodge was spacious, yet cosy and cleaned to a very high standard. The beds were comfortable with additional bedding if required. ||We were fortunate to have a Lodge over looking the lake. I found it very relaxing and tranquil.||We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant. Again, I cannot find fault. The standard of food was a good quality and service impeccable.||All staff were friendly, polite and helpful. I would highly recommend this place and hope to return in the near future.

Lovely little place to come and relax with family and friends, lodges are very spacious much bigger than Haven caravans. Each lodge has 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. A lovely kitchen and spacious lounge with dining table. Most lodges have a view of the HUGE lake. The beds are comfy and spacious and the sofa turns into a proper sofa bed also very very spacious.

We came here as a family of five—three adults and two children aged eight and four—for a two-night stay. When we arrived, we were given fobs to a very distant lodge with no view. We asked if we could pay extra to be closer to the facilities so we could walk instead of driving. The reception staff did not even check for options; they were rude and said no other options were available. We had to use the car constantly.

We went to the restaurant on the first evening; we had made a prior booking. We waited over 50 minutes after ordering for the food to arrive. Other people came after us and were served before us. When my husband asked about the delay, Stevie came and berated us in front of everyone and our children. We had ordered the day's special, one cheese pizza, and one portion of spaghetti with red sauce—nothing that should have been difficult to make. Stevie offered to take off the price of the starter, i have the two different priced receipts, but after our meal of 83.55 excluding drinks was ruined, we politely declined and paid the full price.
BUT THE WORST thing happened on our second day. Their lodge DOES NOT LOCK from the inside at all. My four-year-old daughter just pressed the handle and was going out unsupervised, ten steps away from the lake. Luckily, I heard the door and managed to prevent her from leaving, but until this happened to us, I didn't understand how dangerous this could be.

I informed reception; I received a call from Jeff, the resort manager, who did send somebody to fix a chain on the door, but he had an appalling attitude. After I described how frightening this situation was for me as a parent, and that they should do something to prevent this, he rudely said that this had never happened before and he would CHANGE NOTHING as he is quite sure of the health and safety policy. He saw nothing wrong with a child wandering off unsupervised five steps away from the road and ten steps away from the open lake.
I have raised this safety matter with the relevant authority, but I just want to raise awareness for other potential guests with children. Our short holiday was completely ruined by their approach and lack of care, so I would avoid this place completely. I don't normally give bad reviews; this is only the third one I have given, but we have honestly never experienced anything like this.

It is gorgeous place.
We went with family and friends had 2 lodges, the view from both lodges were great.
The swimming pool is good size fun for kids they game zone as well. You can take your car to your lodge and the entrance to lodge is pushchair and wheelchair friendly.
Our lodges had 2 bedroom 1 is ensuite and second bathroom is in the living room kitchen was well equipped with electric stove a microwave and oven, fridge freezer. They have dinner Weare. Rooms were nice and warm.

Pine Lodges Resort is the perfect place for all the family. Set by a large lake which has water activities available (weather permitting) and a multitude of beautiful water birds. The lodges are spacious, well equipped and clean. The resort has a pitch and putt as well as a outdoor play area for small children. There is a indoor heated swimming pool with sauna, hot tub and gym. There is a bar and restaurant (which offers a takeaway service) small shop and arcade with pool tables and air hockey, alongside a small indoor play area for younger children. Plenty to offer no matter the weather! Have already booked to come again. Highly recommend.

We were on our way to Scotland but I just decided to be back on my birthday!

We love the sustainability mindset, is great to see a calm and relaxing atmosphere that cares about more than just a room service, but a genuine experience changing the way people treat the environment!
Rooms was comfortable, the bed just amazing for a good night of sleep and so quiet around!

We booked this place randomly through a third-party site, and it turned out to be absolutely superb! The property offered free parking, free Wi-Fi, and was a perfect spot for our group of five.

The accommodation was a proper house with a stunning lake view—truly breathtaking. It had all the amenities we could ask for, from a microwave and washing machine to a coffee machine, heaters, and a television. Everything was well-maintained, and the house was super cozy and convenient.

What made it even better was the incredible deal we got—just £75 for five people! Honestly, this was such great value for the price.

Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable yet fantastic stay. Don’t hesitate to book—it’s worth every penny!

Lovely Peaceful Lodge resort on a lovely lake with adequate and comfortable home from home furnishing and comfortable beds. Small shop on site with Aldi & Booths under 10 mins drive away. Restaurant on site if you don't want to do your own catering. Very peaceful and relaxing.
