Absolutely delightful place.
Ian greeted me on arrival with a very welcome cuppa. Met Carole and their dog Jasper later, also very friendly.
My room was spacious, bright and pretty. Some cute touches here and there.
Had a nice evening meal at pub down the road (walking distance)
Breakfast was very well catered for little old me! Poached eggs on toast was delicious. After a post brekkie stroll, I had to leave.
The house was immaculate everywhere.
I only stayed one night but felt like I was saying goodbye to family, so homely for a solo traveller. Highly recommend.

This is our home away from home. We live in the USA but my parents live in Barrow, so we have stayed here several times. Carole and Ian have become friends they have been so kind and accommodating. Their home is lovely and warm especially the kitchen. Carole loves cooking and her food is delicious. Ian kindly carried my (very) heavy bag to our room. The rooms are well equipped with en- suite facilities and lovely views of the church and garden. Plenty of space for all my luggage. We have stayed in lots of B&Bs all over the world and this ranks as one of our favourites.

We stayed Boxing Day whilst visiting relatives. Carol and Ian were very welcoming and I was amazed by the home made treats (mince pie) on arrival. The room had a fantastic view of the church opposite. Breakfast was an absolute delight with great conversation. Food well cooked and top quality ingredients. A home from home, Highly recommended and will be back again.

My partner and I stayed for 5 days in April. From the moment we arrived the owners, Carole and Ian, made us feel exceedingly welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was sensational. The home cooked food and pleasant country surrondings made for a phenominal stay, I would recommend to anyone looking for a break in the country. Can’t praise it enough.

Top notch bed and breakfast in a lovely village. The bedroom and bathroom were immaculate and the bed very comfy. Ian kindly helped me to carry my heavy bags and Carole welcomed me with a delicious piece of cake. The house is beautiful and the breakfast was perfect for my journey. Very quiet location, lovely, comfortable and very clean room and bathroom. Delicious breakfast and warm, welcoming hosts. Secure bicycle storage available which was an added bonus. Great pub across the road too. I couldn’t recommend this gem of a B&B highly enough.

I've stayed here before but this is my first review.||Carole and Ian are excellent hosts and their lovely comfortable rooms are like a home from home. Nothing is too much trouble for them and Carole cooks a great traditional breakfast.||Peaceful location and a good pub in the village for a meal without having to drive.

Stayed here for 11 nights ,while i atteded the white goods training academy fantastic place very clean and tidy , ian and carole made me feel at home straight away , wonderful people , the room i stayed in was amazing the bed was very comfortable and the en-suite bathroom was spotlessly clean , i was made to feel like i was at home not in a bed and breakfast , carole also makes fantastic cake nom nom nom , breakfast in the morning was great too could have what ever you want , when it was time to leave was actually quite sad felt like i was leaving family behind thats how friendly the place is ! Will miss you guys .
