Pinewood Hotel - Slough

We hired the Pinewood hotel as a wedding venue. The hotel sits in beautiful well manicured grounds. On a lovely sunny day this venue is exceptional for a wedding with loads of outside space and picturesque grounds for photographs. The main function room was prepared beautifully as well. The three course meal was very good with a good choice of wines, starters, main courses and desserts. What sets this hotel apart is the superb service from its staff. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and the day ran smoothly throughout. I cannot thank them enough. It is true that the hotel could do with some updating and maintenance in some parts, particularly in some of the rooms but overall we had a wonderful experience and all the guests seemed to have a very enjoyable day.

Just outstanding! I travel a lot for work. I have stayed here a lot of times now and every time it’s just outstanding.||Everything is excellent, from the staff to the food and the rooms. Every room I stayed in had a bath and shower (that’s rare) and tea/coffee/kettle in every room. There is free parking and strong WiFi everywhere (that’s also rare).||They have beautiful grounds with a very nice water feature and a comfortable seating area at the back of the restaurant. Lovely in the summer. ||The hotel management and the team are fabulous, very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. ||Highly recommended.

I stayed for one night for work, and it was perfect. While the place is a little dated, it’s functional, warm, and clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. The building itself is really pretty from the outside, adding to its charm. The price and location were ideal for me, and even though it's close to the main road, you can't hear any noise from inside. The bed was comfortable and warm, and the shower had great water pressure with plenty of hot water. Overall, a great stay for the price.

Staff are all pleasant and friendly. The location of the hotel is good for Pinewood studios and Heathrow airport.
The hotel does need an update in terms of decoration. The cooked breakfast was excellent however the was no tea or coffee available at breakfast. And no serving staff so the chef was having to deal with customer queries whilst cooking.
The road noise from the A412 is not great especially when trying to sleep as it is constant. This isn't a reflection on the hotel just be aware of it if like me you struggle to sleep in noisy environments.

*WARNING FOR EVENT HOLDERS*

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel and its management. They repeatedly ignored all my attempts to communicate and refused to take any accountability for their actions. This lack of professionalism made resolving the issue impossible. I would caution others to think twice before booking here.

The hotel will fail to provide full terms and conditions, and then penalise you for failing to comply.

They demanded £1000 under duress, without having communicated or providing a contract, stating the fee prior to the event. They failed to provide any contractual agreements because they failed to provide and obtain any. Ensure you’re provided a contract and that you sign it.

The hotel will take zero accountability for their shortcomings. The events manager has chosen to ignore my requests and no longer responds to emails, see screenshots. This is after asking on numerous occasions for the signed contracts/agreements. Because of her failure to provide evidence of this, she has chosen instead to no longer respond.

Unless you post a public review, the general manager will also not respond to you.

Also note the following issues with the Hotel itself, which were ignored when highlighted to them:

-The dance floor is damaged and the tiles move when dancing, which pose a health and safety risk. Despite previous guests flagging this , it was still unresolved at the time of our event. The hotel however will claim that they have no knowledge of this.

- Be aware when booking rooms that the hot water does not always work in the rooms. The Hotel will also claim they have no knowledge of this.

- Standard of service is very poor, some staff can be very rude and aggressive.
A member of staff aggressively came to kick our party out of our venue at 12am, despite the agreed closing time having been 1am on the un-signed contracts.

I recommend you to find another place.

Avoid this place during summer...or maybe always. Rooms are not like the photos. We had dirty carpet, stept owhen entering the bathroom. It advertises with airco, well dont now what they mean, but the thing only makes noise and blows a bit of air...not even cold! You are left with a fan.

Room was bloody hot and you can open the windows, but then you cant sleep because there ia a party going.

Shower in the bath, but be carefull while trying to mix the right tempreture. Also the damn thing gets pulled off.

Lift is out order, but looking back at some other reviews, seems to be more then a year.

I haven seen reviews on Agoda with 10 poonts. These must be trolls, no one with a right mind will give 10 points.

Beautiful hotel but ...before booking check there are no events on. No sleep had due to loud bass making the bed vibrate, then when it did finally stopyou could not sleep as mattress was like concrete, big dip in the middle, worst night ever, unhelpful night staff. Would not recommend, staff need retraining in customer care,

My bed was very comfortable and the wet room shower worked well. ||The room heating was broken. The metal surfaces in the wet room had rust on them. There were signs that maintenance was needed.||I have had a better bacon roll and coffee at Greggs.
