We rented both of the two very pleasant rooms but sadly it was only for a one night stay. We would have loved to have stayed longer. Both of the rooms are very comfortable and amply spacious. The house is full of charm and everything is immaculately well presented. Victor and Maxine are perfect hosts and we are particularly impressed by the offer of FRESH milk to have with our tea. The breakfast was of a very high standard.||The cottage itself is located equidistance between Sandside and Arnside. There are plenty of facilities in Arnside and plenty of other places to eat out in the locality, although a car would be necessary to get there. We would definitely choose to go back again and spend a little more time in this lovely spot

This lovely old house has the ideal mixture of period features and furnishings and sparklingly clean bathroom and linens. The owners are very friendly and helpful and make a great cooked breakfast. Generally I'm quite shy about sharing a breakfast table, but as we took the only two bedrooms, we had the cosy dining room to ourselves anyway. Do take the time to phone and enquire - I managed to get fairly late availbility when those with online 'availability checkers' were all booked up. I'm so glad they were!||(I would give 4.5 if I could)

A beautiful cottage with a interesting history.The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a good breakfast. The house was spotless ! The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and very obliging .We would 100% recommend this and hopefully come back again.Thank you so much for our lovely stay with you.

My husband and I stayed here for an overnight stop. We were made very welcome and enjoyed a cuppa outside as it was a lovely evening. We were able to walk along the sandy estuary to Arnside and back. The breakfast was delicious. Our bedroom was small but it was priced accordingly and was ideal for an overnight stop.

A one night stay in Plantation Cottage was lovely. Built in the 1600's, the owners have clearly made this delightful house a labour of love, retaining the original character, whilst modernising bathrooms etc. The table laid for breakfast was stunning in a lovely old dining room & furniture to match. Linen serviettes demonstrated the care taken over detail. Simply outstanding, thank you to both hosts.||The Albion was great for eating. Recommended by Victor.

Situated between Sandside and Arnside beautiful cottage with great breakfast and fantastic hosts we were well looked after and thing was to much trouble. We would definitely stay again if visiting the area. Room was clean and in keeping with the rest of the property really enjoyed a soak in the corner bath after spending the day cycling

We have stayed here twice in both rooms that the owners let out. Both are full of charm and the hosts make you very welcome. Amazing value for money.||We enjoyed our stay and exploring a part of the world we knew little about.||Thanks to Victor and Maxine for making us most welcome. Highly recommend the accommodation.
