We had an amazing experience with Deanna, and the Platter and Slate team.
The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of canapés that impressed all of our guests (we're still hearing from our guests a week later about how much they loved the mini Yorkshire puddings with sirloin and horseradish cream!)
Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The staff were all friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the entire event, ensuring everything ran smoothly. They truly went above and beyond to make our party special, and we couldn't have been happier with the service. Highly recommend them for any event!

Deanna was brilliant to work with. It felt like we bonded very quickly and refined the menu together. Deanna is very passionate, her ideas are creative, the food very tasty, and refined.

We had a drinks and canapé reception at Clissold House before our 3 course sharing meal at the West Reservoir Centre up the road for 90. So all in all quite a logistical number for Deanna to manage with her team. It was seamless and the food was fantastic.

Since our wedding, many of our guests have commented on how memorable and enjoyable the food was.

Deanna and her team catered an event at our home for a family birthday and were absolutely fantastic!
Deanna was very responsive and managed to interpret what we wanted perfectly. We wanted a relaxed and informal gathering but with brilliant food and that is exactly what was provided.
We had one guest who had specific allergies and the team of waiting staff were extremely knowledgeable and could not have been any more accommodating in explaining exactly was in each dish / canape.
Our friends and family who attended all commented on the fantastic food and service.

I care passionately about food, so when we were deciding on who we would get to cater our wedding, in June 2018, I spoke to more than 15 companies across London.

Deanna was completely delightful from the very get-go. She was always quick to respond to emails and when we discussed what we were after she listened very carefully and came up with some wonderful suggestions for our menu.

I am allergic to gluten, which can sometimes create difficulties, but Deanna proposed a menu that was so delicious that no one even noticed that it was gluten-free. She even made me a special rosemary and chickpea gluten-free bread to have on the side.

The presentation of the food was absolutely exquisite. All of the ingredients were incredibly fresh and the riot of colours on the plate looked just beautiful. We opted for salmon as our main dish, which is incredibly difficult to get right for 140 people, yet Deanne managed to ensure that it was cooked perfectly so the flesh was still gently translucent in the middle.

Almost all of our guests commented on how special the food was - which is really a rarity at big catered events, where people are used to being served predictable fare. Deanna is a fabulous cook and a truly wonderful person and I'm keen to throw a big party to renew our vows just so that we can hire her again! I really could not be more grateful.

Deanna did the catering for our wedding reception. She served canapes that were beautiful, delicious and original - not the usual tired, boring ones that most caterers provide. The main course dishes were also truly wonderful: creative, varied and unique.

Deanna catered our wedding in July 2021 and I would recommend her without hesitation to any couples out there! Our guests are still talking about the miso aubergine...it's a testimony to Deanna's culinary prowess that this was a last-minute add for any vegans, but it was still executed to such a high level.

Deanna supported us through really uncertain times (we weren't even sure we could have the wedding until about 2 weeks before) and truly went out of her way for us - it was a challenge to be able to taste the menu with restaurants and kitchens closed, but she pulled it off!

The menu itself was exactly what we wanted - a Turkish/meze fusion to represent the time wed spend living together in Green Lanes. Deanna 'got' the brief immediately.

The staff Deanna worked with on the day were so professional and personable. Again, another talking point of the wedding 7 months on it how fun the bar staff were!

I can't imagine how any caterer in the whole of London (nay, the UK!) could have done a more perfect job. Thank you, Deanna! We'll be in touch for the anniversary bash!
