Stayed for a couple of days at CockleKitty and we would love to go back. The cottage was very comfortable and was in such a peaceful and beautiful location. Maggie welcomed us when we arrived and left some Prosecco, porridge, coffee, tea and biscuits. It was only a couple of miles from Kelso which has plenty of free parking or you can get a taxi. Pre- booking a taxi is recommended though especially if trying to get one on a “race” day.|We just loved soaking up the views from outside the cottage overlooking the countryside. Really can’t wait to return.

We had a great time at Garden Bank Cottage, it is a lovely cottage with all the facilities that we needed and a lovely garden space which was a sun trap.|We were also able to walk through the farm to Kelso which took about 45 minutes.|We would definitely recommend staying at the cottage and will return at some point soon. Archie and Maggie are so friendly and helpful and left a lovely welcome package.

We had a great few days at the cottage. It had everything we needed and was lovely and warm. It was so peaceful and when the weather gets warmer it will be great to sit outside and look at the views. Thanks Maggie and Archie for the lovely treats. Hope to go back soon

An amazing cosy stay in Plum Tree Cottage, myself my fiance and my chihuahua came for a late November break. We stayed Monday-Thursday. I cannot fault a thing about our stay. The property was beautiful in a fantastic location, the cottage was lovely clean and cosy. Perfect for a little getaway, we had some lovely strolls around the local area and had visits from some very friendly locals (sheep) at the end of our garden.||Absolutely loved our stay and our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful! Can’t wait to return!

Warm, well appointed and with copious hot water we three had a fabulous week in Garden Bank Cottage. With two dogs we really enjoyed the walks available straight out of the door that overlooks the farm land and river beyond. A fabulous view as well as a fantastic walk. Lotti, our German Wirehaired Pointer had the best holiday of all since every walk gave her the opportunity to hunt, point and flush game (no shooting involved). Usually spaniels spoil her point, but not this week! It was a joy to see her ‘doing her thing’ without distraction…We loved our stay, the generous welcome pack, the organic oats grown in the farm that are milled in Kelso 2 miles away and come back to be sold online - and added to welcome packs! Food miles…? About 4, I think!Maggie and Archie are warm and friendly hosts who do anything and everything to make your holiday enjoyable - and succeed in every way. To make it perfect, we had awesome dry and mild autumn weather with atmospheric misty mornings…

We had a lovely stay at Plum tree cottage, and Maggie was helpful and friendly. We couldn’t believe how much wild life we saw from our balcony. It was a wonderful place to stay and convenient for all the local attractions. Floors castle at Kelso was a particularly good place to visit, you really need two or three days to do it justice.
