Poached was recently refurbished and looks much cosier inside. We went just after 10.30am and there were still tables available. I noticed they also changed the menu, and added lunch options.

The last time I came I had the red hot chilli eggs and this time, I tried the potato waffles (Fried on waffles) with garlic mushrooms. The food and drinks are ok, I liked the crispiness of the waffles but I personally didn't love it so much that I would go out of my way to come back here.

The staff is friendly and the café gets quite busy so table availability is very limited as it's small inside. It's conveniently located by the station.

Had a lovely breakfast here with my young son.
Food was delicious and the waffles tastes so good. Its great that they have a kids menu and do takeaway also.
The coffee tasted excellent and the service was great!

Poached on the bridge in Beckenham is probably the best restaurant in the high street.

With multiple allergies, dining out can be tricky. However, the Chef Agata in poached took the time to craft a meal for me safe to eat, and it was simply delicious.

The manager, Rachel, is always smiling, always friendly, and always a pleasure, having made me many a perfect coffee over several months I've been visiting.

Great coffee but the main event is the almond croissant which is hands down the best almond croissant I have EVER had. The pretzel bun sausage and egg sandwich is really great too. Always fast and friendly service.

Wow?just had scrambled egg on toast with bacon. Best ever. Cappuccino to follow was super. Great start? on a ?day. Also recommend banana walnut loaf for afters!!! ?Many thanks David

I’m such a big fan of Poached! Their coffee is delicious, they’re really friendly and everything I’ve ever eaten here had been delicious. Special shout-out to the almond croissants they sell and today I tried a pretzel bun - they have meaty, veggie and vegan options to choose from - which was just perfect. A cosy, small coffee shop with about 4 tables to sit-in, a loo or very conveniently located for the train station. A Beckenham gem!

I know the name suggests eggs any way however, I had pancakes which were filling and delicious. My husband had scrambled eggs which he thoroughly enjoyed. Everything tasted fresh and good quality. Will definitely be visiting again. They need a bigger space as they have a great product.
