Beautiful hotel with views of the cathedral and Cromwell's House. Super comfy bed, quiet room and the copper bath was amazing - stayed hot for ages! The staff were all lovely and breakfast was delicious. This was a birthday / anniversary / recovery from cancer celebration and well worth the price. The hotel even let us reschedule when we weren't able to come in November due to ill health. Thank you!

A beautiful hotel, the friendliest most helpful staff. Spotlessly clean and charming decor. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome. Our room was roomy with a stunning bathroom, views of the cathedral and so comfortable. The bar area and dining room were lovely and the food was delicious with an extensive menu. Well done to all the staff at Poets House!

Birthday night away. Found the hotel in secret escapes and had the best of time. The room had a stand alone copper bath…….wow, not only did it look amazing, but enjoying a soak in it was sooooo relaxing..|The hotel is fantastic, the staff were amazing, the dinner and breakfast were superb, the bed and facilities in the room top notch and the overall experience was excellent.|Would love to come back in the summer when Ely could be explored in warmer weather.

Amazing property, well maintained with high attention to detail. Our room was very well appointed, clean and the bathroom was large with both tub and separate shower. We enjoyed cocktails in the bar/lounge area as well as a very nice full English breakfast and other offerings included with the room charge. The staff from front desk, bar room, restaurant to housekeeping all friendly and helpful. Excellent stay and would return again. Perfect location and a great view of the cathedral from our room.

I stayed at Poets House as part of a family holiday. I was delighted with the room I was allocated which had everything I needed. The bathroom was extravagant with great amenities. Nothing was too much trouble, and the little touches made my stay even better.
The hotel is close to town, well within walking distance to the cathedral and market square (worth a wander if you have the time).
The car park is easily accessible - remember to drop off your luggage and check in first before heading over.

Beautiful hotel set in lovely gardens. The tourist attractions are within walking distance. Room was spotless and large with a good size shower room / toilet separated from bedroom by 2 doors making it very private. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice for meat eaters, vegans and vegetarians. Dinner was also excellent with good portion sizes.
Each member of staff was very helpful and friendly.
We had a super 2 night stay. Hope to go back again. Highly recommend The Poet's House

I recently had my wedding reception there and it was absolutely perfect. All the staff, from the events coordinator to the general manager to the waiting staff on the evening of the wedding were absolutely amazing from start to finish. The food was delicious not only at the evening reception but also the next morning at breakfast, and the room we stayed in was stunning. A massive thank you to Poets House for making the day and especially the evening so memorable.
