We stayed here recently for a couple of nights and this CL does have stunning views with privately screened off pitches and water taps on each pitch. Electric is metered using £1 coins-we used £2 but don’t generally get through much electricity anyway. The major downside of this site is the noise from the 2 busy roads directly behind and then add in the broken clanging manhole cover on one of the roads and it’s not great…..The approach road to the pitches is a bit potholed and for some bigger vans might take a bit of manoeuvring but we were ok. If you don’t mind constant road noise then you will like it here but it’s not for us.

This is a very nice CL site that I thoroughly recommend, it really is quite special.

Incredible views are what define this place - literally beyond belief on a nice day, very peaceful, lovely secure area with electric gate access. The owner is very friendly.

Helpful info:
Electric extra bring £1 coins (plan on £2- £5 a day there about depending on what you use and heating usage), water connections - bring extension hose depending on where on the pitch you park, very convenient. Bring drainage hoses for grey water. Elsen service point is fine. Small bathroom with toilet and sink, bring torch if you wish to use at night. Site is absolutely perfect for those who are happy with CL sites and using facilities on van. The pitches where you park van are relatively flat, just a little levelling needed, and TV reception is good and mobile 4g signal is very good.

Site Access:
Comments made following recent reviews to help people with concerns. No issues getting on and off site with my large 7ft wide twin axle caravan. The access gate at entrance is the most restrictive, and that is perfectly fine with my van. If you are in a wider 8ft van I can't comment on the main gate, for sure I think it would be tight, but like my own large 7ft twin axle caravans even are no problem whatsoever. The driveway turns after entrance leading up to the site are fine, there are trees with light small branches and a conifer tree you pass, but with my van it was fine going steady and using mirrors etc. Do not be concerned about access if in a similar 7ft wide caravan is my clear message to you, you will be fine.

This site really is just lovely, especially for the views. Don't hesitate to book this place.

This is a beautiful well kept CAMC CL site overlooking Wharfedale with stunning views .|Four of the five hardstanding fully serviced pitches are surrounded by tall hedges to protect from the wind , plenty big enough for an 8’ van, awning and vehicle .|Secure site with access codes and not visible from the road , with WC facilities and a lovely “nature walk” behind the site through trees and lawn with sitting areas to rest and relax.|Friendly helpful but unobtrusive owners.|There is a small store in Poole village , lots of individual stores and supermarkets a few miles away in Otley - lovely food in the White Hart in Poole and in The Royalty a bit further afield.|Easy access to Leeds/Harrogaye/Bradford and the South Yorkshire Dales.||We’ll be back

Stunning views ? excellent lay out for a limited amount of caravans and motorhomes ( very private ?) access from the main road and across the site is in my opinion not for new caravanners !

Less than one star. The owner has no conception of customer service, fairness, or providing accurate site details.

The signpost on the road has a different name; the entrance is narrow and unsuitable for larger outfits without the potential for damage. Having advised the owner of the size of our unit, the booking was accepted, but on arrival we were not willing to risk entering the site with its restrictions and up a very steep hill.

Other reviews have reported damaging thier units when passing through the entrance. The owner now refuses to refund any part of the fee. Legal action is being taken.

Buyer beware!

Such a lovely site for exploring this area. Views to die for and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Left to our own devices but someone on site if we needed them. Perfect access to Leeds City centre or Otley, Harrogate , Bradford area. Electricity on metre but not expensive. We spent less than £4 daily and needed our heating & water heater switched on . Will definitely return

No showers and a faulty electrical system which eats your pound coins with no credit given. Appart from that good views

We visited this CL on the second weekend of June 2023. The site has stunning views and was reasonably peaceful. However, we won’t be visiting again as the entry and exit is fairly tight, especially as we have an 8ft wide van.
My partner did ask the owner several times if we would be able to get on ok with the width of our caravan and he said everyone gets on ok.
Unfortunately, when we were coming onto the site our caravan brushed against a large hawthorn hedge which scratched the side of our silver sided van with 3 long lines, 1 of which went across the side windows and door window. We were gutted to say the least. We told the owner who promptly cut some of it down and a hedge cutter came and did it the following day. This was too late for us unfortunately.
We just wanted to make visitors aware to be careful if you have a wider caravan.
Also, the sat nav details that we put in took us past the entrance which isn’t particularly easy to see the sign.
Such a shame as the views are beautiful.
