Where to start really! Poppy’s have been amazing with us from the get go. Their staff were a credit to the company, I couldn’t of asked for a better catering experience for our wedding, they blended into the back ground but were super attentive and always kept the food flowing, making sure every single guest went home with full bellies. The actual food was unreal, we went with a selection of starters, meat platter for mains and a trio of deserts they knocked it out of the park! If we ever need a catering company again I will not hesitate to get in contact with Val again! Unbelievable food 10/10

Poppy Catering & Marquees made our wedding happen.

Living in London but choosing to get married at Newburgh Priory in Coxwold we needed a company we could trust entirely to ensure our planning would be as stress free as possible. Poppy were truly brilliant from start to finish. After our initial meeting we were entirely convinced they could give us the wedding we were envisaging without compromising on quality and staying within budget.

The entire staff are glorious, always so helpful and ‘no’ doesn’t seem to be a word in their vocabulary. Simon is a total perfectionist and has amazing attention to detail that really makes you feel everything is under control, with each detail of the day considered.

On the day Kate ran the show with military precision and was a total delight. The serving staff were friendly and professional and were attentive with guests without being pushy.

We had numerous guests write to us after the wedding to say how beautiful the marquee was and that it suited the venue perfectly. We also had many compliments on the food, the pizza and chips during the evening were firm favourites.

If you are looking for a company that will listen to your ideas and vision for your wedding and then do everything in their power to deliver it, Poppy are the people for you. We honestly are so grateful for the effort they put into our day and the professionalism of every member of their staff.

The team at Poppy Caterers produced a first rate lunch for 35 at very short notice for an event at a farm near York last week. The ingredients were all of a high standard, the presentation great and the food tasted exceptional. My vegan colleagues said that they had never been so well catered for. Delivery was dead on time!
Overall a great service - I can't recommend Poppy Caterers highly enough.

Poppy did our wedding catering 12 years ago, people still rave about the food whenever our wedding is mentioned.The Team made our day perfect, so helpful & accommodating. Recently I was delighted to have the opportunity to have another Poppy meal as the corporate catering at a work event. I was thrilled that my memory had not over inflated how wonderful both the service & the food were. We had several allergies & food preferences all accounted for. The food was delicious, often the vegan option or allergy alternatives leave much to be desired, not so in this case! The food was delicious & the requirements were met with professionalism & gave me the utmost confidence in the product. Again people are coming to me weeks & months later asking that I organise the next corporate luncheon too because the food was so brilliant! Thank you Val & the team for being so fabulous & consistently delivering absolutely outstanding service & food!

Wow. I attended a friend's birthday party in Sheriff Hutton this evening. Wonderful canopies kept coming our way. Mains, followed by a large array of sweets. A really charming young girl served the drinks on arrival. There was also a cheese board. I will definitely be recommending you if other people ask me about catering. Very well done.
