Wonderful staff who were very professional, the room was in dire need of refurbishment, rusty handrail, chrome peeling on tap, almost impossible to flush the toilet. Black mould around the windows & horrendously hot. Contractors van directly outside the window which filled the room with diesel fumes at 5.45am & left the engine running for 30 mins.
No wardrobe for clothes & no fridge or safe.
Bed was very uncomfortable.
Great location & parking but the hotel & awful food at the Beefeater are best avoided.

The staff were great. Really friendly, knew about the change in duration, and took care of my safety by removing the key from my door that I'd left in the lock by mistake. The water was really hot and plentiful. I liked the location - nice walks and the park.||||The hotel felt dated. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, the laminate panels had water damage, the thing in the ceiling was dripping water (I thought it might be a sprinkler for the fire system), the water pressure in the shower was pitiful. I was surprised that the doors had conventional keys and not access control cards. Finally, the catering delivery for the beefeater next door was right outside my bedroom window at 8am.

I made a mistake on my booking date and contacted the hotel. They could not have been more helpful telling me how to go on the website and change it. The website was busy so they checked it for me and when I had changed it they came back to make sure I was satisfied. The receptionist last night 22.11 was super helpful and helped with my luggage and also checked the room was satisfactory. Then this morning the receptionist again checked that I had a good nights sleep etc. I am very impressed with excellent customer service - Thankyou.

Stayed for 2 nights with family. As premier inns go it’s a bit tired and needs a refurb. Toilet didn’t flush very well and there are lots of scuffs on the wall. That said the service and location are excellent. Plus lots of parking. Overall it’s fine for a short stay.

The staff at this hotel were excellent—special thanks to Angela (I believe that was her name), who went above and beyond to cater for us. When we arrived, the Wi-Fi was down, so we couldn’t check in, but she made sure to send us to have a complimentary drink. Once the Wi-Fi was back up, she personally came to get us from the restaurant. She also gave us a spare key when we couldn’t find ours.

A massive thanks as well to the two gentlemen who worked in the evening—they were so polite and welcoming, always checking if we needed anything.

As for the actual hotel, the best words to describe it are disappointing and outdated. It’s incredibly old, and our room was filthy. There were pubes in the bath, which was stained yellow, clearly from years of use—absolutely disgusting! The linens and towels had a strange vinegar-like smell that was very unpleasant. The carpet was grimy, and I didn’t once walk barefoot.

This hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment—and soon.

This Premier Inn is in the most beautiful setting with a lovely lake just across the path. It took an hour to walk around the lake which we did just before our evening meal. We booked the meal deal which was great value for money. I thought the Premier Inn looked a little tired but it was perfectly clean and comfortable and all the staff were very cheerful. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again

The first impression of the hotel wasn’t good and on entering there was such an offensive smell it was so bad that I had to mention it to the staff but they were like ‘ we can’t smell anything’ I even asked if they had any air fresheners to spray around but that was ignored!!!!! Secondly the bathroom was dirty the bathtub had hair so I had to wash it down before I used it and the taps were disgusting !!!! I’ve never been to a hotel which has so many problems!!!

Very busy hotel with lots of contractors in big vans coming and going at all hours, leaving engines running whilst smoking in vehicles. Very noisy with doors being slammed, loud voices and banging about throughout the night. Not recommended if you want a good night's sleep. Will not be staying again.
