We stayed two separate nights a few days apart. The location was great, a few minutes walk from the station and easy access to restaurants. The first night the room was warm and windows don't open but we asked at reception the second night to turn the air con on and it was much better. Great service at breakfast, very helpful staff, friendly and attentive. We left some items in the room and called the hotel the next day and they were happy to post out, plus a premier inn bear as extra plus some sweets. Great service, and many many thanks to Christine!!

The location of the hotel is excellent if you need quick access to the public transport network or the offerings in the city centre. The pavement immediately outside might seem a bit scruffy, with a McDonald’s and other cheap eateries next door, but there was no concern about safety and across the road was a very smart Apple Store in a grand old building. My Premier Plus room was extremely comfortable and well worth the extra money, with a very comfortable armchair, excellent shower and other facilities. The bed was also comfortable and no sounds penetrated from outside or within the hotel. The breakfast buffet and dinner menu were standard for Premier Inn but the food was plentiful and tasty and served hot and promptly. The staff were all excellent but the fact that only 2-3 people are on duty at the Frontdesk and in the restaurant meant that there were times when it was hard to find someone available, e.g. to pay the dinner bill.

Great central location but parking is a pain.

Stayed here recently and the location is ideal for central Birmingham, right next to New Street Station. That said, it's a little tricky to find the entrance and parking is even more difficult. The car park they recommend on there site is about a 20 minute walk away and closes after midnight, which wasn’t ideal for a late check in. We ended up using the nearby NCP instead, which cost £18 for 24 hours.

Check in was after midnight and the night staff were really friendly, which made things easier. The rooms themselves were tidy and surprisingly modern for a Premier Inn. The entrance and lobby feel a bit tired but once you're past that, the stay was comfortable overall.

Well, where to start? We had booked a "Premier Deluxe room with a view", the most expensive category as this was meant to be a very special trip.||After some delay and confusion at check-in, we got to our room. A view: yes, beautiful. But... in the bathroom only one set of towels, dust everywhere and a broken(!) toilet seat. The whole room oozed dust. So, back downstairs and we requested another room. We got one at the other end of the corridor. Small, the "view": over garbage bins, roofs and parkings. Here as well dust on almost everything! The hotel is surrounded by homeless, druggies, prostitutes. No wonder there is police everywhere; one does not feel safe at night time. The whole hotel looks scruffy and there is a tremendous lack of staff (one person for reception, bar and restaurant!!). It's high time to give this place a complete overhaul. I admire the staff for staying friendly, for trying to look not too exhausted; it cannot be easy for them. ||All in all this was the worst experinece we ever had in Premier Inn and that for the most expensive room so far. Never here again.

Great value and a super convenient location. The hotel is quiet (despite being right next to New Street station), clean and the room was bigger than I expected. The check in was fast and friendly. The bed was super comfy and I had a great night's sleep. I don't usually have the hotel breakfast as they are so expensive, but this one was great value and very good. I can't believe I had such a great stay at such a good price. Wonderful value.

This has got to be one of the best hotels in terms of location and value for money in Birmingham. You literally have everything within easy walking distance, be it food, drink, culture, entertainment and/or shopping. With the city trams on your doorstep its easy to access even the furthest parts of the city or it can be used as the jumping off point to visiting the historic Black Country.||||The rooms are always spotless and the beds famously comfortable. Checking in and out is really simple and staff are welcoming and helpful. I'd really recommend staying at this hotel whether your a seasoned Premier Inn user or especially if you never stayed with them before. A definite 5 stars.

Stayed at premier in multiple times. It’s my go to hotel due to their reliability for cost effectiveness and quality of cleanliness and service. Absolutely knocked me sick walking into room 710 and it stank of sewage. ||Not what you expect from a premier plus room. We were moved to another room 719 but the smell of sewage began coming from the sink when you turned the tap on. Would have checked out and gone somewhere else but it was too late and I didn’t know where else to go. I won’t be returning to this premier inn hotel again. It was the worst premier inn i’ve ever stayed in. ||||Service from receptionist was rubbish and we were told to use self check in even though my partner said he would prefer to be checked in by her for the human being connection. ||||Breakfast service was rubbish. The staff member said “sit anywhere just not on the big table” and that was the only interaction we had.

Ideal location right by New Street Station and directly accessible. We were visiting by train for a concert at The Town Hall so were ideally placed for that too. Our room was excellent, clean and comfortable. The best Premier Inn room we have stayed in so far and we have used quite a few over the years.
