Great hotel, we stopped off the night before travelling onto Combe Martin. The carpark is great and plenty of space, easy to input your car reg so it’s free to park. The lady on reception was lovely and very helpful. The hotel itself is well kept, clean and tidy- definitely feels like a newer hotel. Breakfast was nice, well organised and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again when down that way.

My wife booked us in for a stopover on the way to and from Cornwall. We had evening meal and breakfast on the way down and breakfast on the way back. Room and food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cannot fault at all. Will definitely use Premier inns in the future if this an example of their service.

Quite a surprise this one. Didn’t expect much as the outside is quite foreboding but inside is a modern, clean hotel. Typical Premier Inn fayre. Quiet, well maintained modern rooms that afforded a good night’s sleep. We ate in the Thyme restaurant on site and food both evening and morning was really good. Special mention to Emmy our server in the evening who was engaging, funny and right on the ball. Wish all staff in every hotel took a leaf out of her book. So overall a surprisingly enjoyable stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights.||Our room was sub-standard as there was an issue with the TV. ||||I told the staff on reception and the duty manager on the first night, to be told "we apologise and will try our best to resolve this in the morning, we can't guarantee anything".||||In the morning I spoke to them again, the staff showed empathy and stated they would try their best to find a resolution. ||||On the 2nd night, Scott (the person on the desk) stated nothing can be done and dismissed the issue. He also minimised the issue of giving a substandard room and refused to call his manager as he was at home now.||||Scott did offer a free breakfast, which we refused as we already had this covered.||||Scott continued to attempt to antagonise the customer (us) making silly, childish remarks with no resolution offered. When I criticised his professional manner, his capability and his customer service, he decided to get upset, walk away and ask us to leave the premises.||||So to sum up, we got a sub standard room with a faulty TV, the customer service from here on was to dismiss and attempt to antagonise the customer, offering no resolution to the issues they created.||||Scott did accept;||- that we had done nothing wrong||- we had attempted to resolve the issue using the correct procedure||- the room was sub-standard||- the issue was created by premier inn staff||||However they did not have the capability to offer a resolution to the issue for the following 2 nights and 2 days we stayed here.

The staff at this premier inn were amazing. We also had food there, and it was really great was that they washed all the cutlery and plates due to having an allergy in the family (I didn't ask them to, they just did it as part of their policy). Great all round Premier Inn

Only stayed one night en route to cornwall. Good stop off point and we found reception friendly and efficient - we did register our car upon arrival in view of previous reviews but had no problems on departure and no extra charges|Found hotel clean, comfortable and quiet with working air-con.|Bathroom was well equipped|Liked the fact that extra tea bags, coffee and sugar were readily available on a table near reception - very good idea|Unfortunately did not take breakfast or evening meal because of previous reviews|Would stay again as so convenient a stop-off and would eat next time so i can comment!

This is modern premier in with a restaurant attached. Reasonably priced I liked:|Lots of free parking|Close to the m5|Fantastic aircon- possibly the best I’ve had outside the USA, very welcome on a hot summers night|Good food at dinner and breakfast|Staff were friendly

I was met with a very unwelcoming “jobsworth” lady who insisted that check in must be 3pm on the dot, something I’ve never experienced all over the country in any of the other 20 Prems I’ve stayed in, they always let me check in early. I also wasn’t allowed to specify which room I’d like again this is alien to me! Poor customer service from the start! The “cooked fresh to order” breakfast was certainly not, it was a collection of leftovers which were hard as a bullet and stale! The worst Prem breakfast in the country. Free parking and rooms and shower etc all good. Nice location.
I don’t recommend and will not return. Worst hotel in Somerset for service and attitude.
