This venue was booked months in advance for a group of over 100 people, expecting a well-organized experience—but it fell far short.

The rooms were as hot as Hades, making it extremely uncomfortable. Smelt very musty. Communication between reception, rooms, and the restaurant was disjointed from the start. The restaurant could only seat four people every 15 minutes, which is shocking considering the group size was known in advance. With just one chef, service was extremely slow and poorly managed.

We’d already pre-booked breakfast before realizing what a sham the setup was. There was no greeting, no staff checking if we were guests, and we even had to clear and clean our own tables—which is unacceptable at this price point, be aware there are no decaffeinated tea bags.

Speaking of pricing, the cost of drinks was unbelievable—well above reasonable rates for the quality and service provided. It was so bad, we chose not to eat at the restaurant for the rest of the weekend.

The only redeeming aspect was the staff themselves—friendly and doing their best under tough conditions—but they were clearly overwhelmed and unsupported.

With proper staffing, coordination, and honest pricing, this could’ve been a decent stay. Unfortunately, we left feeling let down and overcharged.

Not one to moan usually about a hotel but this hotel is like a furnace. I feel sorry for who had to stay here last week when the temperature was 30.c.

It’s like they have the heating on full blast throughout the hotel? Boiling from the second you step in reception.

Would not recommend unless you can bring your own fans.

There is a fan in the room but it doesn’t do anything.

Just spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

The WiFi is also terrible.
I’m sat in the room at 9am in the morning begging to leave as the temperature stat is currently 27.c.

The only good thing about my stay was the check in with a lovely lady. Efficiently done. The set in the shower was grubby at best and the room smelled musty. The breakfast was poorly cooked and there were no clean tables to sit at. Took far too long to be seated. Definitely not value for money at over ÂŁ150. Utter madness.

We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a friendly helpful receptionist who informed us that the room will likely be hot as it was a warm night. The room had a fan but if we wanted another or a bedsheet to let her know - great start and welcome after a long journey. ||The room was warm, but the fan helped. Room a little tired and in need of some maintenance- usb socket broken, bedside lights not working, flickering bulb outside of the room. One of the doors in the corridor slammed shut. All easily fixable. ||Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Bathroom needed a good deep clean rather than just a quick turnaround clean. Skirting was dusty and hairy. ||Attempted to eat in the pub/restaurant. Went in at 7:30 and looked relatively quiet. Met promptly and was informed that we couldn’t get a table until 9 - odd as not full by any means, but presumed more guests were on there way, so we headed into Bridgwater to eat. ||Came back around 9:15 and popped back in for a drink. There were 2 families of four in the restaurant- odd seeing they couldn’t fit us in earlier. Fancied a Guinness,” oh we stopped selling that a while ago”, attempted to order a lemonade, “we don’t have any” attempted to ask for Fanta/tango “we don’t have any” no alternatives were offered and it clearly felt that they just didn’t care, poor customer service and a distinct lack of professionalism. ||We chose not to have breakfast in the morning based on our experience and having now read other reviews, we made the right choice. ||Just feels the restaurant is being run down or they just don’t want to serve food or drinks. ||Wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel itself is fine, standard Premier Inn & the staff are lovely, accommodating & friendly. Unfortunately it is massively let down by the restaurant. We’ve eaten at Premier Inn restaurants many times. Their Table Table restaurants have always been OK. Obviously not gourmet food but standard pub grub that’s OK. This one however was diabolical. I had a prawn cocktail which said it came with granary bread but what turned up was a slice of white cardboard bread with two pats of wrapped butter. I then had scampi & chips with mushy peas & tartare sauce. The scampi was OK but it was all obviously frozen & just shoved in the oven. The mushy peas & tartare sauce looked like it had been thrown from across the room & by pure luck had landed on the plate. Roadkill would have looked more presentable. It makes me ashamed to be British. If someone from elsewhere in Europe ate here they would be appalled at the sub-standard food on offer. Come on Premier Inn, surely you can do better than this.

Hotel and staff were lovely, Megan on the desk was so friendly. Chatting with us and asking us about our day, making jokes about things. Overall an amazing addition to the team. The restaurant team were lovely even though there was a slight wait for the buffet but everyone came in at once so understandable. The only thing to mention is the hotel itself is slightly tired but clean and perfect for a stop over, nothing can really be done.

Stayed in this premier inn a few nights ago. We have stayed before as we find its location and facilities ideal.|With a king size bed and tv we find the facilities ideal. There is a fine pub right next door offering a good choice of meals.|Located near the M5 it is ideal for north and south bound journeys.

Staying for work. - Poor Service.
Late breakfast, Rooms ok, a little tired.
Would I stay again ? No, i may consider another location.

Breakfast From 6:30am.
Well, the doors opened about 6:40, nothing was ready for that early breakfast. Cereals were empty for two days, each morning having to ask for utensils to the continental area. Main breakfast was pretty good once you got it. Plates freezing cold in the morning, even though they seemed to be on warmers. So your food got cold quickly.

If you want to have breakfast before you get on your scheduled bus at 7 am, good luck. With breakfast opening late, you either make a quick takeaway so you can run out the door with it or eat what you can with the time you have. You can't relax as it feels like chaos.

You cant complain, as the staff running the breakfast also work in the hotel on reception.

Very poor, waiting outside the restaurant for breakfast in the cold for almost 10mins.... Open the doors at 6:30am as advertised, let your customers come in and grab drinks or continental while you get the hot breakfast ready. It's poor service to leave customers outside your advertised opening time.

You may read that the restaurant is under refurbishment, it is, but the poor service has nothing to do with the refurbishment.

Very frustrating.
