Walking into the reception, it felt a bit strange being greeted by no one. Still booking in on a machine and making your own room keys is novel idea, however only on completing the check in process did we get approached by staff, asking if we needed help. |It was a little pointless at this stage. |We got up to our Premier Plus room and we were pleased with the room and facilities, the view of the shopping centre roof wasn't great mind you but not a deal breaker as we weren't there for the view. ||However the room promises Faster WiFi, sweet treats, complimentary water, coffee pods with machine and a desk. |The WiFi code was missing. |The sweet treats were missing. |Complimentary water, yep, missing. ||The bathroom with the rainfall shower was nicely appointed and designed. ||But no soap in the hand dispenser was not good. After getting a new soap from a cleaner, she apologised and stated she didn't check the soap when cleaning our room. |These things are minor but when you pay even a little extra for a Plus room then they are items if promised should be delivered. I shouldn't have to chase around the hotel retrieving what I need. ||The room otherwise was good though and the bed as always was comfortable.||Breakfast for a Premier Inn However was unusually poor, as we arrived into the restaurant there was NO hot food ready. Understandable if half 6 but not at Twenty to 8. ||As is customary, you do have to ask for the vegan Bacon and Sausages. These were supplied after a short wait but the other hot elements of the breakfast were pitiful and there was barely anything ready. ||Some other the items of breakfast weren't there either. Again if they're promised they really should be delivered. ||Central location is a plus. |Literally located by the market square.|Experienced no noise from outside but it was a Sunday night. ||Maybe we caught the hotel on a bad day as Premier Inn are usually a good standard wherever we have used them but on this occasion it was a bit poor.

Fantastic central location. Overlooking market square and five minutes from major tourist attractions. I loved my Premier Plus room, especially having a fridge. The coffee maker was of good quality and made good coffee. The breakfast was beautifully cooked. Very good value for money.||I didn't like the entrance to this hotel, hard to find, and it looked like a side door, confronted by stairs and lifts (to get to reception!). Probably because hotel is built over a parade of shops.||Still, overall I would return

This premier inn is in a great location. Right in the city centre and right next to the grand arcade. There are lots of things to do around and great shops and places to get something to eat. I stayed in a plus room and it was great in there. It was clean, water provided in the fridge and nice and quiet. Check in is smooth thanks to the machines but there is also a manned reception that are there to help too. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the city centre

We spent the weekend here at the start of November. The taxi driver told us the hotel had only been open for 3 weeks. It had a lovely smell of new carpet and wood about it as we walked along the corridors. Our room was a premier plus on the first floor and , as ever, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was well laid out and we had plenty of space. The staff were very friendly. I have to say that it was apparent they were having one or two teething issues with the catering but nothing that affected our enjoyment of our stay. We had breakfast both mornings and one dinner. It was conveniently situated for the places we wanted to visit and only a short bus ride back to the station when we left for home. we would stay here again.

I’m giving it 2 stars because the day I arrived to check in, they told me the room hadn’t been paid for, even though my workplace had assured me it was. I had to wait a long time to avoid double-paying and to confirm the payment. When I finally decided to pay just to be able to enter the room, suddenly their system “magically” showed that the room was paid for, making me wait unnecessarily, bothering my coworkers, and offering no compensation for the inconvenience.

On top of that, breakfast was included, but unfortunately, the one day I went down for it, there was no hot breakfast available—just a couple of croissants, a yogurt, and an apple. Awful experience.

The only good thing about the hotel is its location. I do not recommend staying here.

I recently stayed at the Premier Inn with my mum, sister and mother in law for a couple of days, and I wanted to share our wonderful experience. The hotel is brand new, so everything was spotlessly clean, beautifully designed and wheelchair accessible as I am a wheelchair user. The accessible bedroom was very spacious so lots of room to move around and was extremely quiet, we were told the rooms were sound proofed which was great as the market was right outside and we didn’t hear anything The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city center, which made it incredibly convenient for us to explore.
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Tracey, who was not only professional but also extremely helpful in making us feel welcome. Her kindness set the tone for the whole stay.
We spent quite a bit of time in the hotel bar, where we were looked after by Divya. I can’t praise her enough—she was genuinely friendly, attentive, and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. She truly made our experience memorable and is undoubtedly a real asset to your team.
We had an outstanding stay, and we look forward to returning soon. I highly recommend this Premier Inn to anyone visiting the area. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

We were a couple in a premier plus room. The room was clean, modern and very spacious. It was excellent value. We were right in the middle of Cambridge which suit us as we were attending the Corn Exchange. The staff were very polite and helpful. We would definitely use again.

Absolutely lovely staff. Alex was amazing as she served me and my friends, they all went on and on about how kind she was towards us and didn't mess up any of our orders. The cooks do such delicious food and just everyone there had a smile on their face all the time.
