Truly wonderful premier Inn at Weeley Clacton. Manager Sarah and staff were truly amazingly helpful and extremely professionally welcoming kind and caring. You can clearly see that Sarah has trained her staff to the above and beyond standards. We felt welcomed and valued as a guest upon every visit. Rooms are spacious , very clean and beds are comfy with crisp clean bed linen. Would most definitely recommend this Above and beyond Premier Inn. Thank you so much Sarah and your amazing team for making our stay a truly welcoming one. We commend you Employee of the year award. See you again soon. Heather & Brian.

We have recently stayed here for 2 nights in room 16 for 2 adults and 2 children, when we arrived the window was wide open and we could see loads of bugs flying around we squished as many as we could but during the night all of us were bitten from head to toe and this was the first night! thinking we had squished them all we close the window hoping anymore could not come in, on the second night we keep the window closed and the stand up fan on(no air conditioning in the room) we were all very hot and bothered but better then being bitten right? nope! we were all bitten again and have around 30 bits combined 2 days later and we are all still very itchy/swollen with big red marks everywhere, the room looks like a blood bath with squished mozzies everywhere that had already sucked our blood on the bedsheets, ceilings and walls. Terrible conditions to stay overnight in let alone 2 nights. Avoid

Avoid in the summer months. The good bits: free parking, garage and electric charging onsite. ||||Bad bits: pub/dining shuts before 10pm. Bathroom stunk of urine. Beds were like cardboard and rooms were all +26 degrees… no air conditioning, and the windows only open a free inches.

Have been there before but not up to standard this time|Shower taps not working properly|Toilet flush not working properly |Fan provided inadequate power|Did not raise at the time as only stayed one night.|Room furthest away from reception and possibly being used as room of last resort. |After leaving discovered about 16 bites on my shoulder which could only have come from the bed or mosquitoes in the room as widow open due to the heat.

Great service. Requested rooms next to each other which we got. Quiet, comfortable and clean hotel even with ongoing refurbishment happening. It did not affect our stay. Plenty of parking. Great restaurant attached for food , although we only had an evening meal and drinks. Would stay again.

Currently staying at the premier inn in Clacton. It's 1:30am in the morning and neither myself or my 2 childeren aged 8 and 10 have had a wink of sleep. The air temperature outside is 18 degrees but in our room it is 28 degrees. There are loud guests next across the hallway, showing the low standard of the sound proofing. Cannot open our window for tge thousands of mosquitoes. I have been to see the staff on the front desk who inform me that the heat and the noise is a common problem here, and there is nothing they can do about the heat apart from put me in touch with the complaints department. Hugely regret booking our stay here.

Lots of vans in the car park so difficult to park. Very narrow doors and no lift. However. Staff were really helpful. Bed was big and comfortable. Shower was good and everything was very clean. WiFi was rubbish unless you pay. But I felt safe as a Solo female traveller. Good links to Colchester. Very good value. Greggs, Maccies and petrol right next door.

We visited for a night on Christmas Day, after having a lovely Christmas with the family. We were greeted by a really friendly lady on reception as she offered us a glass of Buck’s Fizz and a mince pie each. When we got to the room we found a cute note and drinks and chocolates which was a really nice touch! Our room was great value and really clean, much bigger than other hotels in its price range. Would definitely stay again, thank you to all the staff for such a great stay!
