Stayed one night with my family as going to Colchester zoo the following day. Also popped into Colchester for the castle and town. There's ever a cat cafe! |Met by a lovely lady on reception. Check in was quick and easy. Room was big and clean. |Dinner over pub was decent. Not michellin star but nice. Waitress Molly was very polite and efficient. Breakfast next day was good. Order taken by a lovely male and food came out fast. We all had a lovely time.

We booked the hotel for a couple of nights as we were going to a family funeral. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem. We included breakfast which had everything we wanted, well worth the money. I liked that you ordered the cooked breakfast which was brought to your table fresh.

Room was fairly big and even had an extra bed which we did not need. However in spite of a room with a view we could not open the windows for fresh air to come in. A message claimed there was fresh air flowing through the air system but it didn't not work well as the heating and the cooling system took too long or didn't work and switched off on its own. We only stayed for one night and hoped to have a good nights sleep before a busy day the next morning but ended up with bad back and cramps as bed was not comfortable whats so ever. After a bad nights sleep the shower was not easy to control as the spray of water got everywhere as it was attached to the wall and the shower curtain was too short.

Great hotel, nice and clean, smell nice too even down the corridor. Good size room, nice and clean, extra pillows and duvet available. Very comfy bed. Very quiet in a Good location. One of the best premier inns I've stayed in. Great for a short stay. Nice bar next door that serves very nice food. Fish and chips were lovely. Very recommended.

We just returned from staying overnight as a family of four after a day at Colchester Zoo - we live about 1.5/2 hours away but didn’t want to have to drive back after a long day at the zoo.||The room itself was fine, perfectly acceptable for the night - as there were four of us when we arrived the pull out bed and the sofa bed were made up as well - so the room did look very bed focused but that is what we needed as we just planned on sleeping there!||The bathroom was clean although the shower was a bit temperamental. ||Hotel was quiet, we were in a ground floor room at the very back and didn’t hear anything during the night. Temperature of the room was ok and we could control it via the panel.||The only thing we didn’t like was that breakfast was in the restaurant next door and isn’t self serve for hot food - you have to order and they bring it to you. This didn’t work out too well for us as we had to go ask for someone to take our order after 15 minutes of waiting around. The toast, cereals, pastries etc are all self serve but hot food being requested was a bit annoying - they also didn’t ask us if we wanted more although it’s unlimited - luckily we didn’t as it would have been another wait to get served and we had places to be

We stayed 1 night, we found the staff very accommodating and pleasant. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room and bathroom clean. We got the meal deal with Tabletable and definitely worth it. Would recommend this hotel.

I anticipated noise as it is on/near a major road, pleasantly surprised there was none. The room was large and on the ground floor (although not requested). Although there was a room temperature unit on the wall this I presume is for when the hotel has air con but there is a heater and a fan. The bed was very comfy and the spare pillows provided were in a sealed bag thus giving the impression of being clean, The staff were very welcoming. We stay at travel lodges as you know what to expect and this one exceeded exceptions. Although we only stopped here for 1 night as we were travelling from Kent to North Norfolk I would imagine that you could stay here longer as it is right on the main trunk road, lots to see in Colchester, not too far from Suffolk or Norfolk and the seaside rort of Clacton.

Bedroom nice and clean, bed was comfy, plenty of room for all 4 of us in the family room, and air con worked well which was excellent. Check in was quick and efficient, and plenty of car parking. I’d say price was medium, we paid less at other Premier Inns in other locations.||||Several flies in the associated restaurant next door where we had booked breakfast as part of our stay. It was disgusting as the continental breakfast was uncovered so people could help themselves, so we knew the flies would probably have crawled over the uncovered pastries and bread. I mentioned it to the staff at the time and they didn't think they could do anything about it, but at home we have an electric fly zapper, surely they could have similar. The doors and windows were closed so if flies were killed there should not be more. We have previously always enjoyed the breakfast as part of a Premier Inn stay, but this would put us off next time.||
