We have stayed here before as its an ideal central location for visiting the coastal area. In fairness the hotel is undergoing refurbishment and the general ambience is of a building site outside The room itself was up to the usual standard. Clean, comfortable with a nice powerful shower and bath. Wifi was hit and miss but ok for casual use. Parking was free once you logged on. The restaurant was also a work in progress. Scruffy carpet, very few for dinner and annoying music. Very limited menu but in fairness the food was ok, usual chain fare. Breakfast was a little livelier and again no complaints about the standard of the food. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall if you just want a decent room for the night it's ok. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon. Again in respect of the restaurant wait until the refurbishment is over.

It would have been useful to know that there were no lifts in the building. We were offered a ground floor room because of this but with a sofa bed which I was not happy to accept-my mistake as should have booked an accessible room. The room we had was ok but dated. The carpet was dirty. The shower leaked all over the floor because the shower curtain fittings were broken. The breakfast was ok but although we had booked a 9am slot-the food had run out which resulted in a long wait for it to be replenished. Also didn’t like watching a member of the kitchen staff eating sandwiches in the kitchen and then serving food without washing their hands. Overall it was ok for what we paid. Staff were friendly but appeared to be inexperienced-perhaps a more professional approach to guests would be better particularly checking in for breakfast. |We also didn’t like having to walk past a huge pile of dirty laundry at the bottom of the stairs.|The outside area is shabby with faded plastic plants in the planters. Not a good first impression. The outside was filthy -we almost turned around to find somewhere else when we first arrived. I know it’s under going refurbishment but regardless of this it wouldn’t take much to clean up outside. |Overall would we stay here again? No. Improvement could be made in many areas- maybe a stronger management team in place who would take pride in the hotel and instilling a professional approach from staff.

The service was excellent from start to finish. It was only an overnight stay but, as I have breathing problems and this venue does not have a lift, I needed to ensure I had a ground floor room. I spoke to Barry W on the phone and he helped to accommodate me. He was also on duty at reception on the day of my arrival and was again helpful friendly and welcoming. My room was spotlessly clean, with all instructions needed on hand to ensure I had everything I needed. I didn't have an evening meal but the |all-you-can-eat full English breakfast was delicious. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and helpful. All in all, I had a graleat stay here. Thank you Barry and all Premier Inn staff

This is a reasonably priced hotel in an uninspiring location, with good parking, quiet and reasonable rooms and decent food (dinner and breakfast deal was good value and breakfast in particular was good). Staff were friendly and helpful.||On the negative side, the standard wifi is very slow, the rooms could be described as basic (no tissues, limited storage, seating, no telephone to reception). Most annoyingly the hotel is hidden away in a dip in Polegate Services. The image on the website gives the impression that it will be easily identified but on arriving at the satnav location it cannot be seen. Some better directions would be appreciated

We are a touring band and stayed here, arriving in the early hours after a show. The staff were super friendly, the rooms extremely comfy and clean. Slept like a baby. Breakfast was superb. We stay in premier inns a lot for the comfort and late check out but this one was particularly lovely.

This is a very basic Premier Inn. ||We have stayed once before and it was ok, but this time, the bathroom was filthy with thick dust, dirt and hairs on the floor in the corners. It clearly hadn't been cleaned thoroughly in some time. Hand wash dispenser was also rusty.||The room was also very cold on arrival, though the Reception team were great and brought us a heater within a couple of minutes.||Can't fault the staff we met, but poor cleanliness is extremely off-putting.

Booked a double bed room for 2 adults. Heating didn't work, and was only provided 1 towel. There was no toilet roll - just thin tissue dispenser. There was construction occurring too early in the morning. We loved waking up to the noise of their angle grinder. However, the parking was free and spacious. They had a "restaurant" across from them and their menu was 5 items, ordered fish and chips and the chip portions were awfully small. The fish was massive and wasn't too bad.

All staff are great. Yes as other people say a bit of road noise but wasn't that bad .now the bad bit my company pays for meal deal for me and the new type restaurant looks nice but they need to look at menu it's shocking don't expect meat .from the starter to dessert not much on it .but luckily mcdonald's and asda petrol station are in same area
Obviously I do tell my company not to rebook this type of hotel with this restaurant
